Looking for ways to reanimate a WSO

Hi,

I'm running a WSO right now. In order to make sure that
there's no perception of conflict of interest here, I won't
use my signature for this thread (it has the URL for the
WSO in it). I'm not interested in using this thread to
"fool" anyone into checking it out. I hope the spirit of this
comes through.

OK - now that the context is out of the way, I'd like to
ask about legitimate ways to reinvigorate a WSO that
has moved to the second page - without waiting to
bump it back to the 1st page.

Ways I've already started/considered:

Asking people who have lists to give me a hand.
Running an ad (free or paid) in an ezine.
The problem with this idea is that the
price/volume of my product is such that
it probably wouldn't be make sense to
run a paid ad (a lesson to learn). Similar
thoughts apply to the idea of bumping.
Sending out a tweet to twitter. I have a
Twitter account, but I have no idea how to
use it effectively for this purpose. I've
been told that it can be very useful, however.

Posting to a blog and then doing a ping. I've
got an older blog that's gone into disuse and
have made the post, but haven't yet pinged
because I'm wondering if that's somehow
considered spamming...

Your thoughts would be very much appreciated.

    whow....i would've never came up with the idea to social bookmark, plog/ping a WSO thread actually. I am not sure if it would be worth it, tho.

    I mean, for the sake of fairness i am usually bumping my own twice a month, and i think i am doing fine with it.

    There are other ways to promote, especially if you have a site belonging to the WSO/product. Also, you have your signature ..so theres always a certain amount of exposure.

    I usually wait to bump mine until it hits page 4 or 5. Other than that you can post high quality posts and responses in the forum itself and have your WSO in your signature. That is a nice way for people to see what you have to offer. (This usually only works if they actually like what you have to say. *wink*)

      Thank you both. I was posting with my signature
      showing, but how do you track to determine if it
      is your signature that is pulling anyone to look if
      you're also promoting in other ways?

      Thankfully, the WSO is about to complete
      successfully. One more sale to go and then I
      have to shut it down per the way I set it up.

        You could setup a PHP redirect. Example: yourwebsite.com/mywso and redirect that to your WSO link, that way you can track the hits coming your sig link. Just use a link unique to the WSO redirect.
