Hello,
The real question is...What book, video, etc...put you on the road to really making money...If you are now making money on the internet what product made the change?

      The problem for me was I took all the wrong actions and bought all the wrong products .

      I was one of the slow learners. It took me 2 years to figure out what really works and what doesn't. Thousands of dollars down the drain but it was all worth it to gain financial independence that I have now.

      If I had to choose one of the few products that helped me greatly it would be PPC formula.

      It isn't that I am not taking action but I am a little overwhelmed...hosting, domains....all the SEO...etc...I wish it was a product that could explain it well)

        However, if I had my time again, the one product I would
        have got from the start would be The Internet Lifestyle

    Taking action, networking with other affiliates and working insane amounts of hours to build enough cashflow to start paid traffic.

    That's what sent me on my way - and no product could replace that.

    It wasn't just one product that did it for me. There were
    many good and bad products I had to work my way through
    and find out what worked - and what didn't work - for me.
    Same here! I started out with 'Googling' a lot of stuff (and I still do a lot of it) and finding my own way. Some I learned off WSOs and some other purchases.

    Don Lapre's "Tiny Classified Ads" system. It taught me:

    - Basic arbitrage
    - How to design ads
    - How to test ads
    - How to create info products
    - How to improve those products
    - How to recognise and resolve issues of scale

    I used the system as Don explained it to make about $10,000. I also used a modification of his system, combined with the first inklings of my PILOT personal development system, to make another $5,000 later that year. And then I walked away from that stuff, because I was beginning a career in the defence industry where I got paid a stable salary.

    20 years later, I'm still using what I learned from Don. Even back then, it wasn't unique to him... lots of people taught it, and lots of people are still teaching it... but Don's the one who taught me.

      That's the nicest thing anyone has ever said about Don L. on this forum. Thank you for making several points here. I don't enumerate them because those who "get it" get it and those who don't, won't, probably not in this thread at least.

        I've said several variations on it in the past, and I'll continue to say them. In a strange sense, he was my first IM mentor... and I have every intention of doing a JV of some sort with Don in the future, although I no longer have his current contact information.

              P.S. I'm quite sure Kevin T doesn't eat babies. Unless he can figure out how to make a profit out of it.

              Or in short - I agree with both you and Steve. He's serious scuzz - he's the sort of scammer I've been battling since before the internet. But he is also a marketing marvel. Can't be denied. He could sell sand in a desert, saltwater in mid-pacific and ice cubes on an iceberg.

    Well, I had some hit and miss success before I hit a winner, such as making a thousand dollars in a day (back in 97) by selling the Remote Direct Marketing Home Study Course...but the product which made the change (and the moolah) for me was:

    The Chattel Report; The Sprint to Freedom

    This short report taught people how to buy and sell personal property. When eBay and later Craigslist came along, people around the world started "Chatteling". I've since published dozens of Hotsheets, Reports, Courses and have had membership sites, and ordinary web sites selling all sorts of products.

    ONCE you have a home run, and you've documented your procedures, then it is much easier to keep the ball in motion. Getting it started can be the hard part.

    Now, a caveat...I came out of the "old school" world of mail order, direct marketing, direct response and remote direct marketing world where a premium was/(is) placed on being able to write. And being able to write persuasive ads were key.

    I have different types of sites now, but, still...for bread and butter, it is hard to beat the lowly special report, which takes little time and effort to produce and to market.
    My noob starting advice is: DO SOMETHING Quick.

    ANYONE could write a short report and be selling it in a matter of days. The experience you gain by doing is invaluable. AND, learning how to write copy that is persuasive and can sell products comes in handy too.

    Too many people FLOUNDER by wasting their time (and other's) looking for shortcuts and magic bullets. Know what I mean?

    The product that changed things for me is Carbon Copy Pro, joined them in 2007 and made $3K in my first month. It's because of them that I started my Internet Marketing Company for offline businesses in 2008. I still resell/affiliate the product, actually just sold one 30 min ago. It does take hard work and learning...there is no get rich quick scheme out there...that is legal..haha

    I learned different things from different products, and to be honest nothing really clicked for me until I talked to people who are successful. Once I started talking to people that were not only "doing it" but making big money, I found out what really was working for them.

    In my opinion there is nothing as effective as actually talking to someone that is extremely rich, and here them say "Put the bl**dy effort in".
