Is There Anyway For Us To Contact Our Clickbank Affiliates?

About 50% to 60% of my sales for one of my sites are from my Clickbank affiliates. It really sucks that Clickbank won't give us access to contact our affiliates.

I was wondering if anyone has ANY ideas for how to contact them?

I've seen some sites where their "Affiliates" page has an optin so they can capture their information. That doesn't do any good for those that find our products in the Clickbank Marketplace but I wonder how effective that optin form is?

I'm also wondering about ways to replace Clickbank but would hate to turn my back on those that bring me sales. Yes I know about Paydot.com but their customer no-service is awful.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated?

Thanks
Steve

      Hi Alexa,

Hmmm, I didn't think Clickbank even gave affiliates the choice to be contacted by merchants...which is totally lame.

Affiliate anonymity is part of the facilities offered by Clickbank and vendors agree to anyone becoming an affiliate for their product, without having the right to contact them.

I know it must sound strange, and I'm not one myself, but there are actually affiliates who simply don't wish any of their details to be known to the vendors whose products they sell, and that's a right Clickbank does give them.

Depending on how you go about recruiting your affiliates, an optin form on the affiliate page can be very effective. 90% of my affiliates go directly to my affiliate page and through my optin form so it's dead easy to contact them.

Just so you know I get a few affiliates through promoting my affiliate page on traffic exchanges.

      Hey Hav,

I guess I could also just do a Google search using my keywords to find my affiliates too...duh!

I've wondered about having an optin affiliate page and I've been stupid to not have done it a long time ago with my Clickbank people.

Would you mind sharing how you set up your "Affiliate Program" page please? Do you avoid saying on your "Affiliate Program" page that the orders are being processed by Clickbank? Does the optin trigger an AR from you?

      Thanks again.

I don't mention CB on my affiliate opt-in page but it is kind of a catch 22.

Those that are worthwhile know you are on CB just from your purchase link so will just pickup the tracking link there.

Some will opt-in anyway if you promise some nice graphics on the otherside.

        Good luck!

I have a method that is a bit, how can I say it ... 'chapeau noir'

Look at your web logs where it has his hop id. Then look at the referring site. Visit that site. Will probably be a product review site or something. See if it has contact info. If not do a who-is and find the admin contact.

That's how you'd find his address - whether he'll thank you for it is another matter.

Steve, the fragment I've bolded is the real reason Clickbank doesn't want you contacting affiliates. They don't want you cutting them out of the loop and taking away their cash flow. Can't say I blame them...

Nothing "noir" about it. Pretty slick...
