How do you check a competing websites traffic?

INTERNET MARKETING

Curious as to sites I can use that will tell me a websites traffic ( uniques/visits ) in a given month. I tried alexa but it has no data. Also is there a way to tell where that traffic is coming from?

If they don't have enough traffic to get onto alexa...they really aren't getting that much traffic. IF you are looking for like 30 hits a day or something then alexa probably won't gauge it.

Check www.boostabilty.com. It will give you a free analysis of your site, and a few competeting sites.

Alexa is the master of all.....if alexa has no data that surely the site isnt competitive

The best one for me would be SpyFu. Just google for it

I am not allowed to post a link yet.

Not only will you able to track down their traffic but also keywords! That's golden especially when you try to out traffic your competitors on certain keyword.

I think Alexa is garbage

Hitwise.com is the best but costs a butt load.
