Do you market to a younger crowd?

I found a great health niche that seems to affect those in their 20's and 30's mostly (no it's not an STD)

But, my concern is whether this age group are buyers. From frequenting a couple of the only forums available for this niche, it seems like most are college students or just graduated.

Do any of you have success with marketing to a younger crowd?
I know certain products are targeted to this demographic (like gaming, social media products, etc.)

I hear that the younger crowd is harder to sell to. That they're always looking for free information (probably because most are students or fresh out of college and money is a little tight - plus the economy of course).

But when it comes to health issues, would these people buy an "alternative remedy" for their problem?

How would I go about selling to them? Any suggestions on how to approach them?

Thanks.

Justin

It really depends on what the health niche is, I would say the best way to market to the younger crowd is to promote CPA free trials (if you are part of a CPA network), but this relies on the CPA network having an offer for the niche you are interested in. If you start by marketing free trials you can capture their emails through your own landing page, then try and sell to them at a later date, say after the free trial has expired

I would say very rarely would they be willing to buy a full price product for health online right off the bat, but that might just be my perception.

    Hope i could help
    John.

  • I'd say that most people on their mid 20s onward already have a credit card and some funds to buy stuff online. I wouldn't target people under 20 though.

Of course testing is the only way to really answer your own question. If you have already identified a couple of forums (and provided the forum allows a signature block) put up a quick squeeze page and start posting...

If the health niche solves a desperate problem that they are looking for a quick answer to and you provide the solution, then you'll probably be okay. If the alternative remedy is more suited for those in California vs. New York, then target that age group in the west coast.

You can sell to them both online and offline, they will buy if it is something they need but you will need to add free stuff to be like an encouragement and marketing strategy.
their price should be cheaper, some of them are shy but they will call or pm you for sure.
