Would Google make MORE money doing affiliate marketing themselves with their own ad space?
As all of you are aware, currently Google rents out its advertising space, through Adwords, for people to utilize as a medium to market their products/services.
The question I'm curious about is whether Google might make MORE money using the ad space themselves, by perhaps doing affiliate marketing, rather than leasing it out for Adwords Advertisers to use?
Actually, this question isn't restricted to just Google but other online media owners like MySpace, Facebook, YouTube, etc.
So I think the real question is whether media owners might make MORE money using ad spaces THEMSELVES, through promoting either their own products/services or other people's (affiliate marketing), rather than selling their ad spaces to advertisers.
What do you think?
Hope to hear your comments.
