You Can't Manage What You Don't Measure

Hey Warriors,

Just a little sharing. Am not sure how many of you are following Robert Plank. I just get started to follow his blog recently and read his latest post - 30 Day Blogging Challenge Aftermath.

This is what I learnt from him so far (by just observing what he constantly give to his subscribers):

You can't manage what you don't measure.

Robert never failed to "measure" and I think he can go a little bit extreme. Haha. OK. Joking. He is really good at using number to tell story. And I found that by measuring your results, it brings really positive benefits to your business:

- You use the power of number to speak out your result - I think most of us already know this and people use number again and again in copywriting, proof etc.

- You measure so you manage better - this is powerful but not many people are doing, or doing it seriously. As a sciences student myself, we always talking about "control", something that you can make comparison with your tested sample. Same goes for the business, you need to track and measure your result so that you know what works and what doesn't. I didn't understand this until I see some of my favourite marketers emphasize this again and again.

What other benefits you can think of if you truly measure and track your marketing results?

Kind to share here? Thanks!
