Hello thanks for landing and sorry for strong language.

But ...

I am running This Landing Page.

I drive traffic from Ad On Network ( contextual network advertizing service ).

After I have delivered 164 visitors I haven't got any subscribers.

Here is one of my ad copies:

Discover The Best Way To Lose Belly Fat.
Real Break-Through In Weight Loss Industry.
Lose As Much Weight As You Want And Still Eat Anything You Like. More Details Inside.
Health-Directory.org

I am targeting by keywords so ad copy doesn't appear just somewhere.

After I deliver 164 visitors no sign ups.

Maybe contextual advertizing is not a really good way of advertizing online.

Will be greatful for Your ideas and comments why it can be so.

Please also visit landing page and You will understand why I am confused a little bit.

Thanks.

I agree with you that the autoplay video is a turn-off. I usually leave immediately when I land on one, yet that sort of site seems to be all the rage and the way to go accoting to many "gurus".

Most people browse sites during work hours, the last thing they want is some generic voice who seems to be on every sales video screaming at them that they are fat so the entire workplace can hear lol

Think about who you are targeting, put yourself in their shoes...what would you respond kindly too?

Despite what others have said above me, I can tell you for a fact that landing pages like that DO WORK VERY WELL.

164 visits and no sign ups? I'd be talking to my rep where the traffic was coming from, and the first words out of my mouth would indeed be WTF.

Discover How I lost 70 Pounds Of Ugly Belly Fat Once I Discovered ONE Really Old And Kinda Weird Tip!

See How I Ate All Of My Favorite Foods And Still Lost All The Weight I Wanted
Those are the bullet points on your site.

Perhaps you could change the focus from trying to get people to listen/see how YOU (or your fictitious persona ) lost weight to making them the focus of the page by dropping the "I" aspect and changing the wording to something along the lines of...

"Discover How You Can Lose 70 Pounds Of Ugly Belly Fat Once You Discover This ONE Really Old And Kinda Weird Tip!"
See, here's the deal...most people are busy and don't have the time to read other people's stories. But that is exactly what you are asking them to do. Your bullet points don't highlight any benefits to the reader, they just ask them to read/see/watch your story. Who has time for that?

"See How I Ate All Of My Favorite Foods And Still Lost All The Weight I Wanted"
Again, no benefits mentioned, only a call to read/see/watch more about you. The problem is your readers don't give one iota about you, they care about themselves.

"See How You Can Eat All Of Your Favorite Foods And Still Lose All The Weight You Want"
Notice in the above example we removed the "I" and replaced it with "You", as well as getting rid of the past tense Ate, Lost, and Wanted, and changed them to Eat, Lose, and Want.

Those are just some thoughts on your bullet points only.

        ~Bill

This landing page looks to commercial. I mean it's easier to get an email submit for a CPA offer than someone signing up at your landing page, right?

My split testing tells me videos pages convert way less than simple text ones and sales are not as high. I find less is more when it comes to squeeze pages.

I agree with Jeremy. My gut tells me this traffic is TOTALLY untargeted.

** EDIT ** Reason I say this is because I have some squeeze pages
      that would make you cringe.

They get me 10 to 20 opt ins DAILY.

If your traffic is targeted and want what you're giving them, they'll
      give you their email address.

A couple of things, from the viewpoint of someone who could actually lose a few...

The first impression I get is, "here we go again, another 'I used to be fat until...' ad."

But, as Jeremy said and hundreds of hours of cable and satellite TV advertising back up, this kind of pitch does work.

The second thing is a line from your squeeze page video. You mention how you lost 70# from "one simple tip", yet you need a 5-video series to show me why I need to buy this one tip from you? There's a logical disconnect there...

The generic, FM-radio voice-over doesn't do a lot to build trust, either. And either you changed it, or I got a version sans autoplay, but I'm another one who will hit the back button before the third word on an autoplay site. It might work for IM launches or situations where people know what's coming, but people trolling for information and landing on your page from a contextual ad are not expecting Captain Big Voice to start in on them when the page loads.

Hmmm.. 164 visits and no opt in is a little too ridiculous. If no sale, it's still possible but no leads, then it's a little weird.

Did you put a heatmap on your squeezepage and find out what are the visitors doing on your webpage?

Other than that, you may want to work on your title. It doesn't look very eye catchy to me. Your video script could be improved too.

For me the sales page is alright, however:

      1. the user/prospect should intiate the PLAY VIDEO. From my personal experience. When i come across such websites, i always click back or close it.

      2. Check your traffic source to see whether your traffic source websites are not"junk Sites" with no substance.

      3. The response rate for contextual is not the same with PPC, because the users are NOT actively searching for your product.

This is not a market that I personally target so I can't be sure, but would a page like this appeal more to men or women? And if it's women, do you think it might be better to have a woman's voice instead of a man's voice on the video? Just a thought.

Well, if I were you, I must change my approach for this kind of niche.

I am new in this marketing but am happy with my results because of here seniors help.

There is nothing new on your this landing page. I can show you many landing pages better than this. Second, what I experienced that videos do help but not that much in this kind of niche.

One more thing, why you making a video like everyone else?

I am in mid 20s now and worked in media as director in my early 20s. That media experience as a director helps me a lot in attracting customers. Though, I sometimes still get trap in stupid questions and asks for help.

If I were you, I must introduce little eroticism in this kind of niche, in video. In addition, my landing page (burning body fat) must resemble with sensuality. I play with customers mind.

By introducing eroticism and sensuality, in your theme of colors of landing page or videos, you will definitely capture the mind of people. Moreover, you will differentiate yourself from other 99 percent of competitors in this niche.

One last thing, on you landing page video. make it little informative. Give free attractive information in your video a little bit for making people curious to see what's more inside. This thing will increase your list.

Man, I am new in this field... but I just told you what I must do if I were you.

I think your squeeze page is great!!!! Graphics are good, copy reads well, it looks professional and so what there's loads out there the same, they're there for a reason, they work!!!!

I totally agree with Bill, that you should change all language from I to you. People want to know the benefit to them, they're not that interested in you - unless.....

....If you made a personal video actually showing then and now shots, people love the whole rags to riches or fat to thin story - if he can do it, so can I !!!! Empathy is a wonderful thing.

In this case though just as the squeeze page is, if you've had 164 visits and no sign ups I'd have to go with Jeremy and Steve, it's got to be the traffic. It clearly can't be targeted traffic. The weight loss industry is incredibly competitive, but that is a great thing - it means loads of people are looking for a solution.

My advice for what it's worth, take what you've got and make it a bit more personal, even if you interview a friend who's lost loads of weight using the system, and target your traffic more. Get down to your local weight watchers and put up a poster with your web address, type into google your weight loss keywords and ask the first 10 sites you find if you can guest video or blog, email everyone you know if they know someone who's desperate to lose weight (and we all do), can they forward your url. Get hold of wedding sites / magazines / venues and offer your site / offer as a freebie they can giveaway (what bride doesn't want to lose weight before their wedding?).

That's just a few ideas you can use to get much more targeted traffic.

          Good luck!

          Jo

It has to be your traffic source. Even if your squeeze page was terrible (which it isn't) I would still think that you would have gotten at least 10-15 opt-ins with moderately targeted traffic.

I think you need to consider a different traffic source. My squeeze page converts at almost 40% currently, and I can promise you that it is no prize winning page.

    Here's your two problems:

    1. Traffic source is crap
    2. Landing page screams arrogant bull****

The weight loss market may want fast and easy solutions, but they sure know when they are being fed BS.

"one weird tip" won't lose you 70lbs of fat... no matter how you slice and dice it. Do you realize how much 70lbs of fat is?

I know you're lifting the copy from Mike Geary's video, but the difference is his video doesn't give cheesy hype, and is backed up with facts and proof.

Where's your facts and proof? Where's the substance?

P.S - If you want people to believe you, then go on camera. Show them before and after pics. Right now, they're seeing "an actor" feed them bull**** from a recording studio, with overworked video effects which don't seem real or authentic.

You're trying to hard, and not enough... both at the same time.

    I hope this helps.

To the OP: I'm going to assume you did not design or write this squeeze, correct? I'm guessing it was supplied by the vendor for affiliates. Why not ask the vendor or affiliate manager what kind of sign-up numbers its pulling?....Like others have mentioned, its probably bad traffic you're throwing at it.

If you really want to know if its the page (which I don't think it is) or the traffic, spend a hundred bucks with G Adwords and compare the sign-up numbers.

This may be a little left field but always works for me. Don't treat your potential customers like idiots. You're in the weight loss niche. People looking to lose weight often do a TINY bit of research before buying products and the vast majority of people will know that there is no such thing as spot reduction. What you are offering is a spot reduction product, therefore it's a sham product to begin with.

But you can rectify this. Sure you want to target belly fat, but saying "see how I lost 70 pounds of belly fat" is false, unrealistic and insults your potential buyers because you're basically saying "you know nothing about weight loss". Granted they may not, but if you said "see how I lost 70 pounds, dropped 5 pant sizes and had visible abs for the first time in years!", I think that may convert better.

However, I have never promoted health products but I do bodybuild (only amateur lol) and assuming your potential customers have an ounce of intelligence may help you with your optins. This is just my personal opinion though.

Ydsimple, the problem isn't your landing page, the problem is you're using PPV. I bet most of the 164 visits that you received are from bots -- not people. PPV networks are plagued with fraud views. I highly recommend that you use a different traffic source. If you still want to use PPV, I suggest you stop using keyword targeting and use url targeting instead because Keyword targeting in PPV will just give you junk traffic.

How targeted is your traffic? Something to remember: lots of traffic is important to success, but TARGETED traffic is much more important and lucrative. If all 164 people were looking for muscle building or another type of diet then your product doesn't appeal to them much.
