Offline Marketing here?

Hey Guys,

I've been considering doing Offline Marketing in my local area. My area has only about 15k people, and another 15k in another town. I've been thinking about trying to market, SEO and setting up websites to businesses in my close local area.

I know this forum is full of Offline Marketers, so I was hoping someone could address these questions.

1) Whats the Best ways to get customers. I noticed that almost all businesses in my area, don't have a website. So the thought of doing SEO for my local businesses; by finding them online also doesn't work.

I've considered doing some classified ads, but I'm not sure if that would work.

I decided to make a sales page, which you can find at http://calebspilchen.com/offline ...

2) Does my age turn off businesses, should I come in for a consultation. And since I'm 15, what is the best ways to approach a client during a consultation.

Your ideas will be very helpful, hopefully; this helps me get started.

Hit and Miss.. Although, what I think you should do is hit the pavement and talk to the local businesses. They will eat you up like candy because you are young and innovative in your own right. I think they will see you as a gem.

I think your age will have an advantage to you. I would make sure you have legal papers in order as a lot of people will try to pull a fast one you. I anticipate that you will meet a lot of owners who'll take advantage of you and your eagerness.

Haha, Yeah.. I get my dad to look over all the paperwork.. As I have some online contracts as well. You've really brought a new perspective, calling it an advantage.

      Thanks for your insights.

    Caleb:

I would practice your closing scripts to the point where they become second nature. AND DON'T BE AFRAID to walk away from deals.

A wise mentor told me one day.... "you have to be willing to walk away from a deal in order to get it....thats the secret" .

In terms of businesses...yes they may try to take advantage of you. Come with statistical facts, and its all about return on investment (e.g. say to them....if I don't make you money...my attitude is I'm not in business). Talk to as many business owers as you can. That is key for you now.

    Success to you Caleb,

As far as age goes ... being professional while still being authentic will add credibility.
