Problems With Clickbank Cheque!

Hi,

On May 28th this year I got my clickbank cheque of $246, I went to deposit in my bank and they said that for international cheques it takes 30 days to process, so I waited for those days and went to check at the end of that period and found that they haven't cleared my cheque yet. When I asked them they said that they are experiencing problems from the bank where the cheque came from, up to now I haven't got my cheque and my bank says that I should continue to wait for an Unknown amount of time. I live in Tanzania.
Has anyone ever experienced such a problem with clearing a clickbank cheque???!!!

Situations like this are traditionally difficult to deal with, with banks, because each party's bank inevitably attributes the "blame" to the correspondent bank at the other end.

It may be worth explaining the situation to Clickbank and asking them if they can do a direct payment into your account instead of a check next time. And it may be worth asking them this even if this was your first check and even if Tanzania isn't on their list of approved countries for direct bank payments. They have actually been known to make exceptions.

      Good luck resolving it!
      Thanks Alexa, I'll do that!!!

I think that will be the problem, I have contacted clickbank, so I am waiting for their response, If it will continue like this then I will have to stop using clickbank for the time being and choose another network.
      Anyways thanks!

The problem is not so much where you live but your relationship with your bank. Our bank instantly clears every check we deposit (international or otherwise) because we have a good history, relationship and rating with them.

Ask your bank to remove their holding procedures from your account, if they say no, ask them what it will take to do this. Usually there is a procedure of credit checks etc. that will allow them to give you instant access to your funds.

It just might come down to having to switch banks, too!

If I were making that kind of money from CB, I sure wouldn't have a problem opening an account with a bank that would treat this situation in a more timely manner!

They do the same here in Australia unless you already have a good relationship with your bank. My bank cashes them straight away but I had to put a with holding amount of a $1000 in a term deposit to get that.

Now Clickbank deposits directly so no more problems.

This can be frustrating, but since you are past the treshhold ( which is the hardest part of dealing with Clickbank) you can set up to direct deposit, or direct payment to PayPal. Personally,I have all my payments go to paypal, then transfer from paypal to my bank as needed.

You should be thankful to God that at least you received your cheques.

I not even received my three cheques (even I re-issued) .... Now I set up my account to wire transfer. Let's see what happens this time. I hope that this time no problem will happen. As it's a wire transfer.

Or... another back up plan. I can transfer my money to my cousin account... who lives in UK.

Well many ways, I just want to go forward, don't want to waste my time in crying. Make a plan and do it.

    @ALL
Thanks for all the opinions, but thankfully my cheque has been cleared up with my bank, seems being in Tanzania isn't an issue with clickbank, though it takes sometime for it to clear, almost 30 days.
    Again thanks warriors.

I agree that it all depends where you live. If you were in the US then it would be a whole lot faster.

I live in Canada and since the people in the bank know me already, I deposit the check and the funds clear for me right away unless I get a brand new check from a brand new company and then it takes about 2 weeks to clear.

You are right and that is good for you, let me make a lot and much clickbank cash then I will move to Canada, lol!
But I think its a new system here, so it will take sometime to be developed into a faster and more effective way. Time will tell.

I know I have had foreign students and clients who could not get approved with clickbank or any other affiliate network because of where they lived.

Many African Nations are on the bad list for some reason.

Might have to do with all that crap that comes from countries saying you need to claim your $30 million inheritance.

Do you have American friends who you trust and could have them receive it and then wire you the money? (huh, is that another online business idea or what?)

Don't give up. Ask clickbank to help you out and be patient.

      My best to you.

Lol, Probably that could be the reason for not listing many African countries, but in Tanzania I think maybe its because there aren't a good number of Affiliates residing in here:confused:??, but I was thinking of doing that, as I have friends and family who I trust in America. For me to get this cheque, I had to use one of my trusted friend in UK, and he forwarded my cheque in Tanzania. So I am thinking about what you proposed or do wire transfer directly from clickbank.
