Hey Warriors,

Have any of you ever launched your own product without the assistance of a Product Launch Manager and had a successful launch? I want to know your experiences from what worked to what didn't worked. What prioritize steps would you recommend for those who want too see success ?

I am pretty new and do not have any experience in launching product yet. Desmond Ong and Jason Fladlien are two of the mini-launch experts that I known. You can go to Desmond's blog and get his Killer Product Launch free report.

    Hope this helps.

I didn't use a "product launch manager", and was able to do roughly $3,000 in the first two days. Sustaining the visibility and sales has been a little tricky though, after the initial launch push....

That figure was probably weak compared to some, and, possibly, quite good compared to most....I certainly learned alot through the entire process, that's for sure....

          Sure, Messobage.

Coming into the game with no email list, and very few contacts, I knew I had to work EXTRA hard to somehow establish myself, and gain trust and credibility. I gained ALOT by giving to others....for the 5-6 months of writing my product, and researching hardcore leading up to launch, I also made some very important and influential strategic friends and partners. I made myself known, and my intent clear, to a good handful of 6 or 7 bloggers. Whether they wanted to know, or not, I approached my product quite interestingly: I intentionally propelled myself into the roll of a mentee, with them, as mentors. Because of the niche, and the ensuing credibility and trust that a "case study" like me would give to them, I applied many of the principles that they documented in their blog, to my product development, and I documented it in public forums, and articles, etc.

What occured was a series of 18 "status updates" that essentially promoted and got people excited about my product leading up to launch. Propelling myself into the role of their "mentee", definitely helped their pride, plus, others saw that and it spoke highly of those bloggers....to be helping and directing a very passionate member of their readership. During production of my product, I commented (still do), religiously on every single one of their blog posts for 6 months+. I made myself know, but, also, as someone who provided high quality content (because people could see the quality in my comments, on their blog, as well). I enlisted them into my affiliate program, and leveraged the great relationships we had formed, to do a major blitz through all their blogs. They spoke extremely highly of me and my product, and quite a few sales come through.

Lesson: There can be tremendous incentive to keeping and fostering great relationships with people, both online and offline. Those same bloggers gave me outstanding testimonials that have practically sold my product on it's own.

I compare my product launch to the "Tet Offensive"....alot of patience and meticulous planning and preparation was required until the day I "pulled the trigger" on all the avenues and connections I had aligned. It was kinda cool, actually....

You don't need a launch manager if you have a good plan and are good at execution. There is some great information floating around here on the forums, and on the internet. Find a proven system, and follow it step by step.

Most of the people I work with know exactly how to launch their own product but rather outsource the "management" to an expert. They find it beneficial to work with one person rather than have to manage an entire team of people. It is kind of like running your own offline business. You can be the owner who runs the shop, or hire a manager and stop by the store occasionally.

Another benefit to having a working partner is collaboration. People are often too close to their own project to see things about it, positive and negative. This could have a big impact on sales copy and offer, and could result in a complete success or total bust.

If you are having trouble finishing project or never seem to have the actual courage to launch anything then a launch manager or mentor may be for you.

Im guessing a product launch manager is rather like a mentor or coach.

The advantage being that you stay focused on the priority tasks and do not get distracted by all the other non important things that pop up.

Of course you do not need one, just like you do not need a mentor. But having a mentor can give you 3 or 4 times the success you would have had alone and in many cases speeds up the process of earning money by keeping you focused on the right things.

I've coached a number of people through to launch, and just keeping the person prioritised is worth their investment alone. I'm often told when you are in the thick of it, it is hard to see what is important and what is not, and that is where my advice was invaluable to them.

product launches are becoming one of the best ways to make a lot of money in a short period. If you know how to create a product, then that is the critical part. Launching is easy. you need to go to jvnotifiypro.com and list your product there one month in advance prior to launch, and try to get a lot of JV's on board. Trust me this way you will be able to do a 5 figure launch easy. Hope i helped
