Packaging PLR Articles

Ok guys, about to show my Internet ignorance...lol

This is my first time attempting this so please have some patience.

I am dipping my toe so to speak in creating PLR article packs. My first attempt is with "affiliate marketing" as the keyword. Ok , so I have the articles written and getting ready to go over them again for editing, but have no idea what to do with these as far as packaging them or anything.

Can I upload them all into one PDF and upload them to eJunkie? Also what is a good total quantity limit to put as far as how many total packs would be available? 200? 400?

And of course, one last question but allow me to preface the question by saying I am not trying to sell anything here. Just seriously have no clue what to do with them after the writing. Is $5 per pack of 10 a reasonable price or is that too low or high?

Like I said, showing my ignorance a bit as far as the technical side of things.

Thank you in advance for your help.

It is a good idea to put the articles in a couple of different formats - but most importantly a plain text format.

Put them in a zip file.

As far as quantity limits, you might want to research around what limits others use.

That particular topic may not command too much money per pack - unless you have a lot of content.

$5 is probably high - all you need to do is go to some PLR sites and look what is currently being offered and for how much.

I will say the more you limit the offer, the more you can charge though.

If you told me only 20 copies were being sold, I'd pay a lot more for it than if 200 copies are going out.

I've found what works good is 10 articles in a pack limited to 100 for around $10 (I charge $13 from my website and then when I used to do WSO's I would charge $9)

I haven't done a ton of testing but from what I have seen, lowering the price or lowering the amount of distribution doesn't really seem to have much of an effect on sales.

I usually just zip up the word and txt files - people seem to like the two formats.

    Hope that helps!

Just had to say hello as I am from Richmond, Virginia too! For all I know you could be my next door neighbor!

As far as writing PLR, you could offer a couple bonuses with your PLR articles like keywords to target, or even an ebook to sell with the PLR articles.

You could also sell PLR ebooks. You can charge a lot more for this since you are providing a lot more content.

I agree with all of cashcow's comments. I buy a lot of PLR and I really like the ones that have each article in separate txt files. I usually rename each one when I'm finished by adding the word "used" at the beginning so when I'm browsing through my folders I know which ones have been used. It would be harder to track if the articles were all in one PDF file.

I'd say plain text format is the most useful - then the user can add any formatting according to how the content is being used. If I received something as a Word document, I would just have to re-save it as a TXT file - but I prefer not to bother with opening up the big word processor in the first place!!

    best wishes,

    Jon.

I may be wrong, but I don't think that PLR packages with 10 - 15 articles are selling well.

A few days ago I friend of mine created a package with good articles and decided to sell them as a WSO (100 copies). I then recommended him to add something else, and he got a WP theme (same niche) and short report. Despite all his efforts, his WSO was not successful.

So I think that small packages are not selling very well anymore (not based only on my friend's WSO, but also on many others). Maybe it would be better to create complete marketing packages with articles, reports, review page, blog theme, etc... Just my 2 cents
