Can Aweber deal with this...

........... a "Lead List" and a "Buyers List" automatically or is the "only" way to have these separate lists achievable by having an Opt-In on your website and the and another Opt-In on your download page when someone buys? (I am having an Opt-In box on my sales page.)

Someone is putting a website togther for me this week and so far I have only told them to put an Opt-in on the home page but I want to keep separate lists.

Would really appreciate if someone can tell me the easiest way to do this?

Many thanks

One solution is to subscribe them to two lists at once from a single optin on AWeber, then you manually have to go in and remove buyers from the lead list.

Otherwise the only other way, with AWeber is like what you say to have a second optin on the thank you page.

This is why in most cases, the sales follow up is usually handled on the shopping cart side with say Infusionsoft or 1Shopping cart.

AWeber handles the lead gen and followup, and then the cart does the sales followup.

Aweber has options so that when someone subscribes to your buyers list they will automatically be removed from the prospect list. This is fully automated and can be controlled in the list settings inside the Aweber account.

Great, I think now that I will need two Opt-In's and then will use this automated feature within Aweber to remove them from the prospect list if they have signed up for free ebook and also made a purchase.

I now need to tell my we developer to put an additional Opt-In on the Thank -You page. Can anyone please help me out and give me an example of what you would write on this download page? I don't think I can just put an Opt-In box there with no incentive or explanation as to what the benefit would be for them?

Any ideas would really be appreciated.

You can easily move someone from a "prospect" to " customer" list automatically using the "automation rules" in Aweber: Can I Move Subscribers From One List to Another? :: AWeber Knowledge Base

I now realise Aweber have the automation to move people from one list to another.

However, still unclear if I will require two Opt-Ins or can do this just with the one.

I think from what I have been reading is that I will need two, one for prospects and one on buyers Thank You page? I really can't figure any other way?
