Lists for Multiple Niches
I've been a member of the forums for a while, and have read and learned a ton. I started taking action a few months back with adsense, and this is going ok, still learning, making progress, but I know it's not an overnight thing. In any case, I started thinking about diversifying a bit, and getting into selling affiliate products (i.e. clickbank, etc). I've read quite a bit about this, and it seems the saying goes 'the money is in the list.' My question is, if I choose highly targeted niches, and more than one ultimately, I'm assuming I'm setting up separate lists for these. For example lets say I start with a marketing a clickbank product on home-based humane dog training, and I do all the work building the site and doing all the seo and promotion, etc and start seeing results. Then I market a product on how to make money from home. Obviously these are two completely different niches.
I know a lot of people have multiple niches up at any given time, I know this happens a lot in the micro niche adsense model, etc. Is it better to pick an overall niche and then promote products within that niche or related sub-category, etc, when building lists and marketing products? Maybe this is a boneheaded question, and if so I do apologize. I'm just realizing how many more questions I keep coming up with after actually doing these things, rather than simply reading and learning .
In any case, any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking for a long-term business here, and I know having lists to market to at will is where it's at. I don't have a problem building multiple lists, in fact I'm expecting that to be the case. But I guess where I'm getting a bit confused is, if I'm going to market a hemorrhoid treatment info product and building a list there, is that list going to be marketed to for only hemmorrhoid products going forward? I guess you could market other health/remedy-related products I assume. Maybe I just answered my own question. Anyway enough rambling. Thanks in advance!
