Day 1: 122 clicks no sales

After day 1 of having my Facebook ad up I got 122 clicks.

All I got was 5 people to sign up for my free offer...

I understand 122 isn't really a lot.

Should I start to tweak some things out?

My ad is good, my click-thru to impression ratio is actually pretty decent...

Maybe I need a new sales page?

Any pointers?

If your CTR was good then your ad must have been pretty enticing to have people clicking. It sounds like the offer you were using to entice opt-in's wasn't living up to the ad.

    Links to page?

Off the top of my head, I would suggest:
    1. Making all the background the tan color (instead of boxes saying "Video here 640x480" - that makes the page look unfinished.
    2. Clean up ad copy - there are grammatical errors as well as it seems very vague (until the bottom) what it is that you want to sell/give.
    3. Maybe use a different name other than account name? Zz-LeGiT-ChiT-zZ doesn't sound like someone I want to buy something from

    Just a few suggestions...

I have NO idea why it shows the "Video Here" part...

What exactly do you mean "clean up ad copy", besides the grammar errors...

Well, most pitch pages or sales pages have a headline that catches your attention very quickly. It is said that you only have about 4-6 seconds to make your visitor read more or hit the back button.

Also, most pitch/sales pages follow a sequence of problem, why it's a problem, solution, my product, advantages, guarantees, BUY.

It just seems like your page is mixed up - starts off with advantages, goes to a little problem, guarantee, solution, then BUY. All the time the visitor is wondering what the point is - selling? reading? giving?

I would just re-arrange the text to make it flow more logically. Making sense?

Yeah I think I get it! I'll check that out and work on the wording!

        Thx

i hope i am wrong, but it looks something like Counter strike.
      This is Modern Warfare 2.

      There aren't "cheats".

This is the problem for the repeat:

    "background-image: url(www*mw2mvp*com/images/video-content.jpg)"

may need to take that line out or search your CSS file to make sure that's not the default background and change the hex# to match the tan.

You use WAY too much slang. Think about this. 7337 players are the ones who really know the slang and won't buy your product. It's noobs that have a terrible kill ration that would consider 2.43 to be amazing.

Also, I have no idea what game your product is for. I scanned all your headlines and all I could figure out is that it's for a soldier game and that you will help me get a ratio that you think is good. Now it took me a minute to realize what k:d even meant. And I play a lot of games like this.

Less slang more quality. People want to play games with haXors and whatknot but they want to buy products from a quality company.

Also you have 2 calls to action on the same page. That will affect your numbers big time. If you want to capture email addy's then just have a landing page targetting that. If you just want sales go in that direction. Or maybe offer the free guides with an exit popup?

Exactly what I was getting at - thanks London. Even though it's a gaming site, it still needs to meet a certain degree of professionalism to get sales. Like London said, people will use slang, goofy names, symbols, etc. in gaming, but if they're going to pull out their credit card, they want to be sure it's reputable and worth it.

Clean up the text, make it clearer what it is you want the visitor to do, and i'm sure your sales will increase.
