What are your BIGGEST Breakthroughs this Year?

Hey Fellow Warriors!

The other day I was thinking about my biggest breakthroughs for this year and last year.

I find it to be a really great exercise - especially towards the middle of the year.

We're a little over half-way into the year and I'd love to hear about what your breakthroughs have been this year!

I'll start off by sharing mine...

Last year, I had 2 massive breakthroughs.

The first of which were video sales letters. Video sales letters took my conversion rate from 2% to 8%. Needless to say, I haven't looked back since.

I now think of them as the great equalizer allowing mere mortals like myself to get conversion rates that are usually reserved for top-notch copywriters.

This year some of my biggest breakthroughs include:

Split-testing and detailed tracking - I'm not sure how I ever survived without this one but I now use Google Website Optimizer and Hypertracker to test and track everything.

It's amazing what insight it gives you into your business. Hypertracker in particular has been incredible because I now know exactly which traffic sources are converting the highest into subscribers and sales.

Using that information, you can zone in on the highest-leverage activities in your business and stop wasting time on the low-level activities.

Another big breakthrough for me this year has been 'instant product creation' by using LIVE Webinar events. You can put together an offer, create a video salesletter, and promote a live webinar event in just one day.

Do a 4-Week Webinar Series. Limit the number of spots. Open it up to your list and you've instantly created a product. You get a huge upfront cash windfall and instant accountability to get it done over the next 4 weeks

This is one of my favorite product models.

Plus, at the end of the 4-weeks, you can sell the product separately or put it into your sales funnel as an upsell.

Ok, so those are just a few of mine, let's hear yours!!

This may seem pretty basic, but it's a huge step for me. In the past, I've gotten an idea, registered a domain name, and then either gone on to other ideas, focused on my day job, or otherwise let that domain name languish.

This year -- hey, in the last week -- I've taken a huge step. I went from having a domain name registered... to getting Web hosting and actually _using_ that domain name.

Seems like a small step, but it feels pretty big, and sometimes those first steps are the hardest! If there's something you've been wanting to do for awhile, but haven't, for whatever reason, do it. The second step is easier, having taken the first.

    Hi Kim,
2 to 8% seems massive increase. Do you mean adding a video sales pitch to your existing sales letter, or only having a video, as some people have been doing lately?

      Hey Robert!

I'm referring to just a straight video sales letter. (just the video)

What are your BIGGEST Breakthroughs this Year?
Getting a boat - this will greatly expand my video blogging field.

I'am no longer limited to places that I can drive or walk to, now I can get access to remote locations along the river. By having a boat, now I can post some fishing videos and more nature / wildlife pictures.

I'm with Kev. Getting a boat was my biggest breakthrough as well.

On a serious note, opening hosted blog platforms was mine.
