Do You Get More from Facebook,Twitter....

I was just wondering if everyone would like to expand on what their best techniques are and what they see best for pulling in traffic from social media sites.
My personal preference is Twitter (@smcminigal) but I would like to branch out more and get several different income.
I have dabbled with other sites such as stumbleupon, facebook, digg, reddit and so on but have yet to realise their full potential to anything???

    Hi stuart,

    I have great experience with facebook and would def recommend you start here first. Aside from the fact that there are the second most popular website online (google being first) they have a variety of monetizing strategies.

    I have more or less tried ever type of facebook advertising strategy and the best one for me has been group marketing.

    I know people "slander" facebook campaigns and to be honest I can see why they have that view but once you find out the exact ways to use facebook it can be a goldmine.

    Aside from that I use twitter - but get reduced results and stumbleupon - which I am still testing.

    Over the past few months, I have been making some extra bucks from facebook and twitter. I would say, they are the easiest form of making money online and getting traffic.

      It depends how you use the sites. I am still beta testing a Facebook page, but already in less than 24 hours I have 150 page fans. I'm not too sure how well these "fans" will convert into users or traffic for my website, but it is certainly better than twitter for a few reasons.

      I have a few hundred followers on twitter. I have found that I get blocked out of twitter by practically everyone who follows me. The reason is that the majority of people who have chosen to follow me are spammers, who only use twitter for personal gain. No matter what I say, or even if I directly message or speak to particular people, I never get a response. However, twitter is useful for promoting links, since they are a PR9.

      I think Facebook is the way to go for traffic, as long as you're careful not to spam or turn people off from your page.

    I just get enough traffic from facebook and twitter.

    I never bothered to use other social sites except digg/facebook and twitter.

    If you have the right niche or twist for your page and can get it to go viral you will get A LOT more traffic than twitter ever will.
