Is this possible? Or have I lost my mind?

I have been trying to figure this out for awhile now, and can't seem to come up with anything (and I'm a little nubish so bear with me!)

Hypothetical:

What would happen if you had a site with 500 visitors/day and you simply wanted to recoup expenses on this domain (lets say your $50 in for design/hosting/etc.).

Your estimated CTR is 5%.

Your average CPC is .25 cents.

If you moved this domain to parked free status, and the site remained ranking in google with above traffic for 5 days (is this even possible?) all hitting a parked free page you would have received 2500 visits.

At 5% CTR for 5 days at .25 cents you stand to regain $31.25, so if you made it 10 days you would actually gain roughly a 20% return on your money and recoup the majority of your expenses if you only made it five days. Then, sell the domain and get whatever you can for it just because it is aged.

Remember, the goal is to recoup expenses!

Anyways, let me know if I'm just a retard nub or if this is possible. Or will Google find me instantly and drop me from the search engine? What about Yahoo/Msn as these also account for just under 1/2 the traffic?

The only reason I'm presenting this question is because when I research how to monetize parked domains all I read about is getting a bunch of back links (article marketing etc...) and relying on the traffic from those links to gain clicks. I can't find a case study or anything closely related to the hypothetical I presented above. I do see people recently saying "Ya, I got kicked in a month" but making it just two weeks would accomplish the goal...

Thanks Guys!

If you have a domain getting 500 visits per day, why not sell it as is before you take it out of search rankings?

Surely somebody would be willing to pay $50 to get that traffic. More if it is targeted.

    At 0.05*500=25. 25*0.25=$5.25.

A site getting $5.25 per day has got to be worth $500 to $1,000 if sold on Flippa. Depending on who you talk to, you should be able to get anywhere from five to ten or more times monthly revenue.
