Turning IM into your own business
I read a thread a thread a while ago about someone who decided to write their own eBook instead of promoting someone else's through Clickbank. I have only been working on the promotion of other companies products so far in my brief internet marketing career, but I have really enjoyed myself. So much that I have a tough time being motivated my regular job duties!
Right now I only make about a 1/5 of what my regular employment brings in but i've always wondered how hard it would be to start my own internet business (i.e. instead of promoting other companies products, I would purchase my own for resale). I was just wondering if there were people that have made the transition and how difficult it was to get going. I assume that you would need to find a good wholesaler, have space to work from home, etc. I also figure you would need a decent amount of start-up costs to ensure you have sufficient inventory. I was just thinking that i've learned quite a bit about SEO and perhaps it would be better to apply those techniques to your own products, rather than someone else's. But then I can see issues of low invesntory, dealing with shipping, etc being quite a bit to take on.
Anyways just curious how people have made out. Like to draw from experienced people

Thanks!
