How to promote my software

Hello people,
My name is Ibrahim Arzoo and i am from India.
I am current a student pursuing my graduation.
I program at times but now i have managed to make something that people will buy.

My Name under which i program : ArzooSoft Solutions
My latest product is Secure Evidence Scrubber.

I have uploaded my work to many download sites and search engines, yet i make no sales.
Myself being a student i cannot afford the expensive shareware promotion schemes.

I plan to write more softwares but the "no sales" hinders my will to go on.

Ill glad if anyone can give me out some help.

    The way to promote any business is to 1 not give up and two increase exposure. There are ways to do this with limited to no money. Try press releases, ezines, and banner advertising. You'd be suprised what offline advertising can do too. Where there is a will there is a way. Believe dat. Good Luck!

    Hi, Ibrahim. If your software is really good and unique, you should be able to either sell it or license it to a software publisher. It's a very high-stakes industry and anyone who can do what you do already has. And they're probably spending millions promoting it. Get in with someone bigger and let them handle the heavy work.

    Create a website and improve your sales letter. Split test it. Give some discount/coupon and let other people review it and post the reviews in their blogs.

    Hi, I googled and saw your software. I have a couple of suggestions for you.
    1. Improve the description and usefullness of your software. People have to understand what it is they're buying. Most Tech guys aren't marketers and don't know how to adequetely market their software.
    2. When you're selling software, screenshots is the old way, video is the new (as well as video will improve your search engine ranking).
    3. Another freebie tidbit...Look and see how your competitors designed their software, and design yours better. two of your programs are already freely available...What makes your paid one different?

    HI it's simple go on ebay and try to sell your software, if no one wants it in 2 weeks , it's a good sign that it will not sell.
    I am not saying this to be mean, I just have notice that great selling items sell very fast. And they always tend to.

      I took a look at your software, you might want to create 2 versions

      one for free and a upgrade, a better version,

      if your software is great it will go viral, and you can expect to do sales with the upgrades

      but if your software is similar and there is free ones out there don't expect sales, it is hard to compete with free

      this will give you exposure, everything is about getting eyeballs to your offer everything else will take of it self

    I visited your website and read through it quickly. I have no idea what it does. I would visit Digital Products Retailer: Affiliate Program & Sell Online - ClickBank and go to the marketplace. Browse through their products. Become familiar with writing a direct salesletter. Then write one and sell your product from that. We sell many software products related to internet marketing. Google my name: Brad Callen. Then look at the way our products are sold. Stay away from techie, feature orienting sales copy and focus on explaining what the user will get out of your product, should they decide to buy.

    Build a few pieces of software for some Warriors. Use the earnings to get a copy of Promosoft. Then submit like crazy.Or ask around and see if someone can submit for free using Promosoft.

    Download.com will be your best resource. Try to get reviews (maybe in return for a free copy). This will boost your rankings and give you a snowball effect.

    Contact PCMag or Computer Shopper to see if they'll review your software.
