Teen Marketers... Teen's Making Money Online?!

Hey Guys,

I've noticed that there are other teens here,
I was wondering how many teens are making money online,
here on warrior forum, and by doing internet marketing.

So if your a teen marketer, come post in this thread.
I really, want to see how many there are here!

When I was 15, I was out having fun and probably wasting my time doing something stupid. I wish I were learning the basics of IM at that age. Good for you.

Hmm, someone 15 trying to sell stuff online... you should try selling I-doses. Google it if you don't know what that is. It seems pretty easy to distribute for someone your age. I think you can make up to $100 or more per sale too..

I'm now 23, but first made a living online back when I was still in high school, around the age of 15/16.

I guess I used to have quite an obsession with computers and considered my useage of them a hobby, although as I've gotten older my use of them is less for enjoyment and now almost exclusively for reasons for practicality and money-making.

Although my first (now defunct) online business was time-consuming to run (I did web hosting, domain registrations and web design, etcetera; I had to be around pretty much 24/7 for server management, monitoring and customer support), there was a passive element to it which I adored, and so moving into online marketing / web publishing seemed to be the logical "next step".

I was supposed to become an engineer, and although I have an immense interest all aspects of engineering, the experience of running my own business coupled with the desire for passive income really changed my outlook with regards to careers. I began to imagine the lifestyle possibilities that'd be open to me if only I were able to work from anywhere, whenever I pleased, and with no upper-limit to what I could earn. I haven't looked back or had the desire to enter the "regular world of work" ever since.

21 here - but most people think I look 17, so that'll just have to suffice.

I officially started making money blogging and writing articles at 18. I did stuff online through college, and the experience I got then led me to being able to earn higher article prices, practically the day I got out.

Get off my lawn! I was screwing around with Netscape 1.1 and a 14.4kb modem on my 486 before you were even born!

Just kidding. I had checks, money orders, and cash filling up my mailbox when I was 18 -- for a report I offered on my web page. I didn't take credit cards or have a dot com back then.

Good for you for making money online.

Good to see there is a good bunch of us "Young Guns" taking a slice of the IM pie.

I have been browsing the forums for months, absorbing as much information as I can and after seeing this thread I thought it was time to create an account and introduce myself.

I have made money online but instead of some traditional IM way, I made mine being a freelance web developer. Only about $200 doing some small jobs but I keep learning new skills to hopefully one day take on big jobs that pay big.

    I'm 18 by the way

Hey - I'm 17 - Still cannot get a credit card - cannot sign a legally binding contract - try that for starters - I cannot do a lot, but my age lets me sell myself as a whizzkid.

Thats how I branded myself over at theminisitekid.com and it WORKS - Similarly I am the offline 'kid' and my offline clients know me as 'whizz kid' or 'Mr. Expert' - I like to think its because the name sticks, but probably, MUH-BAR-ACK is too hard to PRO-NOWNCE

Hey, I'am 18 and I've started to make a pretty decent Income Online, But to be honest I've spent Hundreds of dollars on courses and other stuff (Its starting to pay off). The last course I spent on was on IM Elite, where George brown and Alex shelton teaches the Best Techniques, you should check it out.

I am recently working on a Product, that I am hoping it will be a success. But after creating my Product, I am going to follow a technique that I bought, it's called Blogging Espionage - from Rob Benwell, he is a wealthy blogger, so I hope it works out for me too.

Theres to many things I have to do, but theres to little time. lol

I say teens should go for it.

They might as well start while they're in high school because there's no telling what type of job they're going to have after they graduate from college with the way the economy is going.

As long as they comply by the search engine rules, as long as they they meet the age requirements (if you're not 18, get mom and dad's permission), they can do it.

They have the time. If they do it right, they've learned early on how to manage their financial future. Don't go overboad and get greedy, though.

Take some time to enjoy high school life, too.

Well I'm not a teen myself but if you're looking for some inspiration the two most successful teens I know of are Alex Shelton and George Brown.

    Hey Guys,

So for a credit card, I actually got a pre paid CC so I could sign up for certain programs, and have a parent as well as lawyer, look over my contracts and stuff.

To the 13 Year Old, here's some inspiration: I have a buddy, whose 13. He just plays around with his VPS hosting company (a reseller), as well as selling traffic, and wrote an e-book on it --> for dp (lol). I asked him the other day what he had earned to date, he said $500. I don't know how, because he's always buying stuff. Anyway, hopefully that inspires you.

That's amazing however I'm curious how they manage to bridge the age issue? I know there are many issues about being a young entrepreneur such as a lack of creditability from some people, legal issues, ect.

Doesn't that limit you quite a bit. They need to have a biography.

The two of them really just got to where they are by being really good at what they do.

When you have the proof of your ability people will pay attention no matter how old you are.

Case in point is Carl Ocab, otherwise known as "The Kidblogger", who rose to prominence as an IM expert at the age of 13.

By that age he already held the number one Google result for "Make Money Online". The proof was in the pudding so people started to listen to what he had to say.

Here's an interview with him: Interview with Carl Ocab – Making Money Online with a 14 Year Old | Young Entrepreneurs

Both George and Alex got off to a rolling start right here on the Warrior Forum as well.

George's ClickBank hit, Google Sniper, started out as a WSO.

It really doesn't matter how old or young you are. If you're good, you're just good.
