I am curious to what people mean when they say "JV"

    It's a joint venture.

    It's a business partnership between two people.

    You can use it to make deals like... I'll promote your product if you promote mine.

    But they're usually done between two marketers who have an equal or near-to amount of resources. Like.... the two marketers might have 10,000 subscriber lists.

    JV = Joint venture. It is a partnership deal with another marketer/person possibly in your niche.

    Joint ventures are ventures done with you and another person which involves a process that can create profit for them both- where they share the wealth.

    For example if you have an email list of 100 people in the internet marketing niche, and a friend of yours has an email list too of 2000 people, you can promote 'your' product/ebook to their list with one email, and get a huge chunk of sales/profit from that one broadcast email (if your lucky that is), and then you split the profit with your partner, however you wish.

    This is a common example of a JV.
