Purchasers who don't read!

I sell a tutorial - the sales page starts by saying "This Beginner's Tutorial will show you how To"

It continues with phrases such as "I specialise in teaching beginners" and "I've written this tutorial especially for people who are new to "

I kind of thought that made it clear what the product was about - but I guess I would say that, wouldn't I!!

I never had a complaint - until today - when someone emailed me and said "I'am a bit disapointed with the tutorial is mainly made for beginner"

Errmmmm - wellllll - yesssss - that's what it says!

He hasn't asked for a refund - so I haven't given him one.

Customers, eh! Who'd have 'em?

This business would be so much easier without customers

My favourites are the refund requests I get for Free Link Cloaker.

Have had numerous customer requests - some complaining about not being comfortable with some methods, when they have clearly been labelled to illustrate that some (strictly whitehat) marketers may not like it.

It's just a part of business; you're bound to have these sorts of people - the best you can do is point out clearly what you are offering, (which you have done) and hope the purchaser is smart enough to read before completing the transaction.

I can see where your coming from.

I've had a few people email me requesting a refund saying they didn't know it was an ebook. They thought it was an actual hard cover to be mailed to them even though I clearly state it numerous times on the sales page.

      It doesn't happen often.

It just goes to show you that many people don't read sales pages... they read the headline, jump down to the price and if it's what they are interested in and the price is right, they buy.

Just apart of doing business online I guess.

    Hi rosetrees,

The more people you interact with, the more personalities.

When I encounter someone who does something which agitates me I realize it tells me something about myself. In your case I would say:

"This person teaches me to have patience with people who don't have the patience to read and understand my sales page."

We come across many different personalities, some which resonate with us and some which don't. Continue to meet people and over time you develop an immunity to the sillier instances experienced.

Each annoyance carries a lesson and it's always about us

It's a common problem! I am a magazine editor for a big British car club and every issue I get someone asking how to contact a member of the exec or for a phone # etc. All that info has been on the same page of the mag. for almost 16 years! They just dont read...

    Constant problem with me.
I think WSO collectors love my copy... which is weird since they seem to not actually read the damn things...

"it's not what I thought"... um...well, dipsh!t, if you read the copy you'd know what it was....

Best is someone quoting my refund policy and requesting one.
Yet when I replied asking for proof that they used it (as stated in policy) - never heard from again

I had one customer that told me he was happy with the report, but the strange colours on the cover made him vomit. He sent me photo proof.

    Shudder.

I wonder if he is ok?
