Running Your Own Personal Adsense/PPC Engine on Your Site
Does anyone know if there's a good solution for running your own form of Adsense/PPC on a site? By this I mean, you sell your own advertising but make it PPC instead of a flat fee or CPM.
Here's why I ask. I have a site where people are happily paying over a $1 a click for ads (that's the revenue I see, so they are actually paying much more than that). The problem is Google only targets those ads on a certain portion of the site. On the rest of the site (the majority of the site), I get maybe $.25-.45 a click.
(I know about telling Google what to target, but that won't work in this case. It would only bring up the same ads they're showing now.)
I realize I could just sell flat-fee ads or even CPM, but I think the PPC model would be more attractive to my advertisers.
