What I would do if I had $390 to start my internet marketing business

Hi all.
I am glad to be a part of this great community. I have been trying my hands on various things online since Jan. 2009 and I have never really succeeded. I still maintain a 9-5 job which i hate because the pay hardly takes me and my family for 2 weeks.

I love any business model where one will work hard once and gain passive income. Since reading through the forum and joining lists, these are the products I feel I need to secure and start a solid online business with about $390.

I feel this can help any newbie who has this amount. The only skills I can exchange now for cash online is installing wordpress, themes, plugins and proper on page seo. I cannot write articles or do link building etc because I don't have enough time due to my job.

Things I will buy with $390
1. Market samurai- $149 ( All kinds of research)
2. Hostgator hosting-$100 ( excellent hosting)
3. Fund namecheap-$30 (to get at least three .com domains)
4. Get thesis wordpress theme-$87 ( can give me any wordpress design i need).
5. Get aweber autoresponder account-$19 first month.

Steps I will take
1. I will go with the hot markets like weightloss, hobby or health problems

2. I will type my root keyword in google tool and get two to three-word keywords, then return them each time until I get all lots of long tail keywords in that market.

3. I will import my keywords into market samurai to get atleast 100 searches per day and 100,000 competing pages using exact match within minutes.

4. I will use market samurai to further get the buying keywords within this criteria using the commercial intention module of market samurai.

5. I will select the best 3 keywords.

6. I will use google wonder wheel to get related keywords for the best 3 keywords. I will now select the one that has the most related keywords

7. I will go and buy the .com, .net or .org version of the exact keyword

8. I will go to my hosting and install wordpress

9. I will install the thesis theme and create the necessary pages, contact, privacy, about, terms.

10. I will use the monetize section of market samurai to get a membership site from clickbank related to my keyword if any. Market samurai will help me select a clickbank product of gravity of at-least 20.

11.I will search online for actual users of the product to know their experiences so that I can write a nearly personal review.

12. I will use the content part of samurai to gather content based on my keyword from wikipedia and other sources, depending on how recent they are.

13. I will compile at least 10 articles from these sources with powerful headlines and call to action on each---my cloaked affiliate link.

14. I will use the traffic part of samurai to get links from .gov, .edu sites and recent blog posts about my topic.

15. I will ping

16. I will convert my 10 articles to video, .pdf and slides and submit them to all the websites that accept them and to article directories.

17. I will put my autoresponder on every page of my site.

18. I will use market samurai to check my rankings.

Once the site starts to rank and starts bringing me some income, i will sell off the site and get t outsource some chunks.
I hope these can help. IM is a business and sshould be taken seriously. Without tools, you may be doing your business using trial and error.

    Fenshon,

Nice plan - you should be able to get discounts on a lot of those products. Just check the home pages of those sites for special offers, and also search for discount codes too. You may get that stack at half price! But even at full price it's a good investment. I totally recommend Hostgator and Aweber. I use artisteer for WP and that is a good theme generator.

I have some projects at the moment, and I am going travelling. So when I get back I may make my next project to do something similar to you, using the Market Samurai Videos (which are free) for guidance to pick the right niches and keywords and get some high traffic sites that are easy to monitise.

One thing I disagree with the Market Samurai Videos is they only use adwords costs to evaluate commerciality of a niche. But it may be that not a lot of people bid it up, but there are still good money to be made from products etc. But for a beginner (and I still feel like one myself) adwords is probably a good indicator and if all else fails you know you can get some adsense income as a backup plan.

I used the trial version of samurai, not finished using all modules before the trial expired. I really loved it. I now hate doing anything manually.

Good stuff, but I would make a small change.

For someone new to this, thesis could be confusing. I'd stick to free themes for a while at least.

You also didn't talk about traffic generation, which is hard for most new people, and all the prep in the world won't help without it. For that reason I would use the money from thesis to buy articlebot and socialbot from incansoft

A nice plan. Perhaps use 37$ to get into the war room. Could help bolster-up that battle plan and help with the traffic side of things
