[Solved] How to search Google USA from outside the USA

Hi fellow Warriors I just found out the coolest little secrets.

I have been wanting to search for my website, and adwords Ads and see how they perform in the USA, but it always defaults to my countries Google. I am trying to see my ad Placement, and competition in the biggest countries as far as search volume USA and UK. I finally found out how to do it.

HERE IS HOW : in your browser type the google address you want and at the end just type /ncr I can't believe it's that simple.

eg. www.google.com/ncr (for the USA)
www.google.co.uk/ncr (for the UK)

It works for any country so if you are trying different languages or countries.

If this is very simple to some of you I apologize I have been looking for this for a few days so I am ecstatic. Yippee

    Neat trick. I also did a search and looked for "&hl=en" in the address bar. I then added "&gl=us" to the left of it and researched. That was how I got to see local adwords results.

    I've used this before myself.


    In my case, I prefer to search via "google.com" than my local country by default.
    It would be too much work to use that "hack" every time.

    So, I changed my Browser's Search Engine settings.


    Originally, it was something like this:
    Google | {google:baseURL}search?{google:RLZ}{google:accepte dSuggestion}{googleriginalQueryForSuggestion}{go ogle:searchFieldtrialParameter}{google:instantFiel dTrialGroupParameter}sourceid=chrome&ie={inputEnco ding}&q=%s

    So I made my own custom Search Options like this:
    Google | http://www.google.com/search?q=%s
    Now I search from Google.com by Default always, and not my Local Google Search.

      Don't know, but an alternative is to use a proxy website like this one. Under 'Advanced Options', select a server in the US. Then do a search for "google.com".

    That's pretty neat, but I thought you could just go to Google and click on "Go to Google.com".

    I just moved my mouse over that link, and the URL is Google.com/ncr - looks like it's the same thing!

    Got it working. Thanks. It apparently doesn't work if you are logged into a Google account such as Gmail. It only works, for me, on the first search. Then I have to start from scratch with the ncr thing again.
