Bonanzle and other eBay alternatives

I don't know how much longer I can stay with eBay. They've worked really hard to create a hostile selling environment and I think it is time to move on or at least diversify a bit. So far I've only tried Amazon and that is working out okay. Bonanzle looks good, does anyone here use it? What about other eBay alternatives?

I guess I should be clear, I'm looking for feedback from people who actually use and have good luck with other services.

The best thing you could probably do at this moment, is create your own eCommerce website. If you go to Bonanzle, and most other platforms, you pretty much have to do the SEO yourself because Bonanzle just isn't bringing in traffic and they don't seem to have any real advertising models in place at the moment. The only two positives is that the Bonanzle site is considered reputable by buyers, and that its extremely easy to import all of your items and info from eBay.

What a lot of small eBay sellers do not understand about eBay is that you can actually cap out. You can only grow your eBay business so much Before you create your own eCommerce website anyways. I learned this from a local powerseller, one of the top eBay sellers, BHExpress. Go back and look at the top sellers from 06 or 07, most of them don't even Sell on eBay any more.

THOUSANDS of people are doing it. Everyone I met at eBay seminars and the like the past four years ALL have their own eCommerce website. I eventually made mine too. Guess what. I make FOUR times more on my eCommerce website and I only invest 4% of my gross sales back into advertising currently (used to be 15% at start up). No feedback ruining sales, no odd rolling visibility blocks, I can control my inventory more easily. I only paid $400 to set the entire thing up too... peanuts what I pay to eBay monthly.

It was always so weird how I would make 3 sales a day, then 0 the next, and the next, and the next, and then 3 sales again, and 0 for a week. Now, I do 4 sales a day for a higher price, everyday, until I sell out. All it takes a little SEO, something I would have to do on Bonanzle or eCrater anyways. Google Merchant Center is pretty sweet. Ever advertise a physical product to a very targeted crowd on Facebook? That's sweet too. Some other websites (eBay) fee's really takes away from your funds to be able to do such things and really grow your business.
