How to Encrypt a section of code in html or PHP

does anyone know how i can encrypt a piece of code in the footer of a template saying I designed it with link to my site and make it where it can not be removed. I have seen this in templates but not sure how to do it

Here's the problem with that. The encrypted code has to be rendered to HTML and is thus viewable via view source or web development tools. It is relatively easy to replace the encrypted section with a regular HTML code as long as someone knows basic HTML.

Encryption is effective for server side processes though and you could do an encrypted server side process to check to see if the link or other elements has been changed and then refuse to work. This may not be effective in all situations though, such as with a WP theme.
