Don't Go In the War Room!

Ok, this is actually a plug for the War Room.

For some reason, I didn't sign up for the War Room when I first signed up at the Warrior Forum. I thought, "Yeah, sure, it's gonna have a bunch of regurgitated junk that you can find for free all over the place if you look hard enough.", so I waited. And, waited...

Then, because I'm also a consumer, I bit after hearing the price might go up, and I joined. And, right from the very first post, I was getting to see and learn things in such incredible, precise, detail, that I spent like 6 hours in there, virtually astonished at the quantity, and quality, of information that people were sharing with one another.

Not only that, but many of the warriors who were receiving the information would come back 1, 2, 3, 7, 14, etc days later and share some of their results with it, or gave advice to make it even better, or shared the unique, unforeseen ways in which they were putting it to use.

Each of us has probably learned quite a bit about, at least, 1-2 topics in internet marketing. Maybe, for you, it's copywriting and traffic generation. Or, for someone else, it's article marketing and domain flipping. But, there's so much more to learn and I've found the War Room to be like an Internet Marketing university where ANYONE who has some good information to share can be a professor! And, there's so many professors, and so much good information (wait, didn't I say that already?! :p )

Let me just say this, while there IS such a thing as information overload, that is resolved simply by taking in new information in manageable pieces, but for you to grow your business, especially into multiple streams of income, it's important for you to get that new information. And each time you learn something new, it combines, subconsciously, with everything else you've learned and you begin to see all kinds of new possibilities... that were ALWAYS there before!... but were just invisible to you.

I am not a salesman for the War Room, I'm just a happy customer. And, if there's one thing I can guarantee you, it's that the very first day you join, you'll be like a kid in a candy store and I can't imagine you walking away from your first day in there without something new that you can use to make whatever it is you're trying to do more successful.

And it's a one-time joining fee... helloooo???

Anyone else wanna second this?

Eric

Ya... I totally agree. I just signed up for the WARROOM this weekend. I really liked the free WSO's from some guy named MARIO about Article Marketing, WSO creation, Ninja something or other and one other. The WSO CREATION and ARTICLE MARKETING are actually better than all of the WSO's available right now - other than How to MAKE MONEY with No Investment - which I just finished reading today.

But - YES - THE WARROOM is when you are ready to learn more, and when you have learned how to make your own WSO; you need to be a part of the WARROOM to sell it!

The proof, imo, of how valuable the War Room is in how great the older posts are. Some stuff that is 2 or 3 years old is as actionable today as then. Allen's older stuff is PRICELESS.

Honestly....I don't go in there because if I did I'd never get anything done.

I went in there, as a consumer once.

I immediately left when I realized that I'd end up spending all my time in
there. And when you're already running a full time business, that can be
          disastrous.

So go there if you feel you need the training. But if it's only going to end
up to be a distraction from you actually making money, proceed with
          caution.

Take the best home study course you ever bought and multiply it by about
a hundred and that's the wealth of info you'll find.

It can help you immensely or bury you for eternity if you're not
          disciplined.

          As I said...proceed with caution.

          YOU have been WARNED!!!!

I have a differing opinion about the war room.

#1 - I've found some real gems, but more often I've found myself on yet another list getting campaign and start getting marketed the same rehashed or upcoming joint venture launched stuff.* (I know that required opt-in is not allowed, but there are ways . . . for the War Room to become a list building strategy, e.g. bonuses when you get to download site for other products, etc if you opt-in, etc.)

#2 - Some of the ideas and techniques are clearly swiped from others - or there's been some severe black-hatty techniques added on to make it seem unique.

#3 - Some of the downloads are just too cumbersome, requiring gigabytes of space and tons of time to both download and watch - and when you see the first few videos and realize that most are all leading to some upsell from a product that's 5 years old.... or another upcoming product launch or soon to be marketed WSO....

#3 - Some of the downloads came from questionable sites and have caused my system to crash, or have activated my anti-spyware/ anti virus programs

So - As a rule, I do not GO TO THE WAR ROOM that often, finding less genuine sharing and more serious list building going on (even if it's done as an after thought for those bonus items....) and I get more valuable information in the Main Internet Marketing Forum or in the WSO section.

If anyone wants to copy and paste a thread down there that's really worth a look - that doesn't suffer from the issues raised above, please do.

      Hi Heidi,

I just wanted to give you a head's up that the rules in the War Room have changed. People are not allowed to require an opt-in to get their products. Also, the mods seem to be doing a better job at keeping mucj of the garbage out (though that is subjective).

Yes I was going to say that the fact that you no longer can force Optins has been great. And yes the value one gains is very subjective it has to be, we are all a many different level in IM.

I think just the money one saves from not buying just another ebook will really help as most things can be found on there.

To me, the War Room would go down as one of the best purchases I have ever made. I have learned a lot.

A popular technique that people used to adopt is to collect opt-ins leveraging the War Room - the membership in itself was a guarantee that these opt-ins were genuine buyers (since they had already purchased War Room membership), so I also liked the fact when the mandate came in stating you can not make it compulsory to give opt-in while you are providing material. That is when the War Room improved.

So why shouldn't we go into the war room if it's such a great place? What's the point of having "hurr durr dont go into the war room!" as the title? I hate when "marketers" use retarded titles such as this in order to promote a product.

Hi Scott, it's not RETARDED, lol. It was a "half-truth"... it's like the War Room is amazing, but if you go in there, you're going to get stuck in there for a loooong, loooong, time and as you can see by the ensuing replies, there's a LOT of people who agree.

So, in conjunction with this thread, the title is kind of a warning to watch yourself if you do go in... like set a timer, or something and promise to honor it when it goes off!

You beat me to it. I was going to say that Allen, the founder and owner of this forum, doesn't publish marketing stuff very often, but when he does, it's pure gold. Allen's stuff inside the War Room has tremendous value. When I read his private posts several years ago it was instrumental in changing what assets I focused on. And that's just one of the many items in there.

Whether it's a free word press theme that I've grabbed and used, to finding out a new SEO strategy on how to get on page one of Google, to a simple marketing tactic to improve conversions, the War Room has paid for itself thousands of times over.

My only real complaint of the War Room is that it can be very difficult to stay focused because there's just an insane level of useable information in there.

    Sorry. Double post.

Scott, I think he refers to the fact that you can easily suffer form information overload when you ge in there if you ar enot mentally ready.

I can say without fear of being mistaken that you could easily spend 5000$ (probably a lot more) buying courses out there and you still wouldn´t have the amount and quality of information you will find in the warroom.

If you know what you are looking for and know how to use the search function, the joining fee will probably be the last investment you make in IM knowledge for years to come.

Good Example of What I Talked About Earlier:

    Amazon Success Formula from Holland

Following many requests from our subscribers, we have put together a report that shows you step-by-step how to set up sites selling physical products (using Amazon affiliate program) that are primed for top rankings and maximum earnings...

We even share how e create those istes in just minutes and drip feeding hundreds of products over time... Google loves that!
Ya think the report will show you how to drip feed hundreds of products - but it just shows you a sales page where you can buy some software. Having complained - the rest of the FREE report is pretty awesome - but once again, there's no free lunch and the War Room generosity isn't without strings.

So, if I get the gist of this fabulous product for sale at the end of the free installation guide...I save tons of time with this EXTRA software because it's going to automatically drip appropriate Amazon links into my blog on a regular basis, so I don't have to, and therefore I can devote the extra time and the rest of my energy on writing artiicles (presumably daily) & doing other SEO activities (also presumably daily) to get traffic to my blog? Oh - and because I don't have to do the add the amazon link part - I can do this with hundreds of blogs...?

    Yeah right.

Sounds like another hard project made to sound easy that in the end won't get done. But in the end will sell plenty of upselled products for the offerers of these generous free item.

Outline is excellent - as I've said before - but the War Room is not for people who can't get bloodied up with some excess work.

      The War Room is fantastic,

I got my first direction from there which I am still following now...Super Simple Blogging.....The Conduit System, theres tons of them.

Best way to describe it is like the really good posts in the regular forum with really cool info that comes along every so often .. well the war room is exactly like that, only its crammed full on every single page and in most threads with that kind of stuff. There are no "my site dissappeared" or "how do you get backlinks" type of threads, just solid information.

Having said that, I rarely go in there now unless I am looking for something purposfully, its too easy to get sidetracked..I know what I want now so only venture in when I say need to digg a little deeper or something.

It's funny you should say that because as much as I know there's great stuff in there, I don't fly in there as much as when I first bought in because it's like being a kid in a candy store. You go nuts over all the tasty treats. Better you get a couple of chocolate bars and take them home and eat 'em nice n slowww....

That being said, I got my money's worth on day 1 and everything else is just pure gravy.

For example, Gene Pimental, whose name I know I will probably never spell properly, has a 10 step domain selling technique which has already reached 23 FORUM pages full of follow up questions and thanks. I put it to use just a couple days ago and already have a nice little blog ranking #1 for a keyword people are paying avg $5/click.

That report alone is going to make me somewhere between $250-$2500 in the next week or so (if I don't blow the deal!)

Anyone else have more War Room goodness to share?

Yup true stuff. I'm looking to get in the War Room AGAIN as soon as I get my Bank accounts sorted out and a PayPal set up. (I went on "holiday").

Way back over a year ago, I took advice of Allens very own post about Macro's. I made a small fortune from taking the advice in that post.

Before I learned about War Room, I though it was a place for marketers debating with one another, just like the name indicated itself 'War Room'. After reading this thread it look interesting, packed with ton of valuable information and without having to pay for more. Also I want to have the red text under my name just to look cool. LOL!

Google recently banned my Adword account with no warning... and I was using the same campaign for two years with a lot of success for my affiliate site. Will the Warrior War room give me ways to drive traffic to my site?

I consider becoming a member, but not now, I think I will lose focus and spend too much time there. :p

It happens to a lot of people, actually. And yes, the WAR ROOM has many people giving great advice on driving traffic.

Any more time than you spend leaving comments to threads outside the war room?

When you first join the War Room, it's like Christmas. I didn't sleep for about 30 hours after I joined because I was so busy trying to absorb everything that was there.

I cannot stress enough how valuable the free content there is.

To some days ago I was a normal user, but then it was told to me that the forum was supposed to explore more, and the only way was with the Warrior Room. This investment by far, well justified. This is worth more than 30 years of subscription to the magazine of Forbes. If being a member of the Warrior Forum it is impressive ... Being a Part Of the Warrior Room is incredible!

Indeed, with the so much GEM in there, it's important
to mostly get the freebies there that HELP you towards
your path. If you go there with the intention of looking
for just about any gem, you will be overwhelmed,

There is so much guidance available on such a wide array of IM topics in the War Room that it boggles the mind. My advice for someone new is to go in there with a specific purpose/intention in mind (for example, if you're searching for guides on article writing, go in there with the express purpose of only finding information about this).

There is so much information in there that without some focused intention, it'd be very easy to get lost and end up spending many hours in there without getting anything constructive done!

    Eric
reading what you wrote psyched me up
