Running in circles as fast as I can

Hey,
I've been working at getting some traffic to my websites now for about 3 months, full time. I know that 3 months' isn't alot, but with the articlees I've written, submittted and approved into the article directories, form posts on niche related forms and blogs, and web 2.0 site creations, I feel I should be getting something.

Anyway, I just have to keep plugging away until something finally clicks and it starts to all fall into place, I'm sure it will.

Then, when I search for my site in google, I see mostly my forum posts in there, and not my actuall sites domain. and same with the links.

I've been using
url:http://www.mysite.com for the site itself

link:http://www.mysite.com to check for links, and both show more of my forum posts (both in here and other places) than anything else, barely anything from my actual site, and those are usually buried on page 2 or 3.

Any advice on how to change this? or is it all left to time and market itself?

Thanks in advance,
as always, all notes are welcome
Timber.

This can be changed by using a "canonical link."

When this happened to me, I also decided to go back to all of the articles and add the www. as well. So you may want to do that if you don't understand the video.
