How should I go about getting affiliates for a launch?

Last thread got deleted.. Guess I'm not aloud to ask for affiliates in the main forum.

I've been trying to get a launch going for a couple weeks... What's the best way to go about it?

I've had threads in the JV section but most of the people on there only want to do adswaps, which I don't have a list for.. I've put my product on JV notify, are there any other sites I should know about?

There's a lot more to a product launch than just recruiting affiliates.

Here's one tip though... there are 4 pages of copy that you need to have a successful affiliate recruitment for a launch.

      A Video Squeeze Page
      A Sales Letter That Converts
A Video Sales Letter That Converts Higher-
And An Ass Kicking JV/Affiliate Invite Page!

That last one, is a key in affiliate recruitment.

P.S. I wrote a report about just this today. I will PM you a download link tomorrow. I'm already in bed and fighting to keep one eye open to finish typing this.

Well, it really depends on a variety of factors.

Do you have an affiliate/JV page setup?
Do you want JV's or affiliates?
Have you researched all of the "Big Dogs" in your niche?
Have you contacted those "Big Dogs" offering the product for review?
Are you going to have a JV contest with prizes?

There's so much more included. I would suggest trying to get a copy of "Sneaky Launch Tricks" by Desmond Ong. He's like a "mini Jeff Walker" when it comes to small product launches. His material is great. I would do a search for that product, I'm not sure if it's still available, but maybe you can contact him via this forum or Facebook to try and buy a copy.

    Best Regards,
    Anthony

I'm trying to do the whole mini-launch thing, which I take as... Find list owners to promote a launch over about a week or 10 days instead of around 3-4 weeks. I do have an affiliate page, and I definitely want JV affiliates... I consider any affiliate promoting a launch to their list would be a JV, but maybe I'm wrong. I've been told that I need something to offer them in return, more than just the commission, but that sounds like more work- and I've been working on this for 2 months.

I actually just got a sweet idea, do a free senuke blast in exchange for a solo ad? haha.

I'd also like affiliates to do normal promoting of the product, pretending their is no launch.. just to see how well it converts. I just haven't had the extra money to throw down on PPC to test conversions.

If that's how it's done, then maybe I should contact the "big dogs".. I just don't want anyone stealing my method and rebranding it.. Which they could probably easily do.

I don't have any official contest set up, maybe I'll add that to my affiliate page.. I was thinking 50 or more sales and raise up commission to 70% from 60%.

I PM'ed Desmond, his buy link is broken.

      Thanks for your input man.

"Launches" are way overrated. If you have a converting product, affiliates will be happy to get onboard, and from there word spreads.

In order to get an idea of your EPC you have to have some test traffic.

Couple of ways to go about this.

    1. You can buy a drop from Dr Suzanne's JVRocket list
    2. Focus on getting 1-3 initial JVs (the way to do that is primarily networking, but if you can't get out to events, most of them have a contact info on their affiliate page)

After you get those initial #'s (conversion, EPC) you start hitting up everyone you can find an email address for.

Show them the screenshots, tell them the EPC, and be upfront with them that you are just starting out but you'd be glad to put a bonus offer of theirs in your members area since you don't have a list to mail them back... yet.
