CLICKBANK - Monthly Sales Check

I am in the process of trying to create a Clickbank Product to sell. However... I am interested to see how many sales other products like mine sell on a monthly basis. Is there anyway to check this out?

    EXACTLY. There you go...

Don't try to guess it from the gravity! There are products with gravities of 100+ of which a large number of affiliates have each made one or two sales each before abandoning them because the conversion-rate sucks (and the gravities of these badly-selling, low-conversion products always continue to rise more and more, simply because large numbers of affiliates who know no better are attracted by the high gravity), while other products with gravities in single figures may be selling many thousands of copies. No hyperbole here, or "quoting exceptions" - this really isn't uncommon at all. Contrary to what some believe, there's no real correlation between gravity and sales numbers.
Thanks Alexa..as usual, you're showing on the right time when CB bad advice starts to roll in

And for the OP...the simple answer is NO

As Alexa said, this information isn't released by CB, and CBEngine and other tools don't provide anything that you can't get directly from CB

    Best bets are:

    1) Ask the product owners. Trust me, it works.

    2) Go to http://www.Quantcast.com and see what kind of traffic it estimates the page gets. Estimate the products conversion rate 2 or 3% and see what kind of numbers you get.

Guessing, from gravity, is like blindly punching your calculator and going with what numbers show up on it.

To answer your question, no, Clickbank doesn't report exact sales figures for a vendor. But yes, cb-analytics.com, cbengine.com, and cb-tracker.com are good sites to see vendor and marketplace information.

Some (as in very few) vendors might report their actual sales just because they feel like it. Like the gentleman that runs bingocardcreator.com. He posts his stats at: Bingo Card Creator Sales by Month

    Hi,

a great way to check, Same techniques I use when starting a project or an ebook is by searching how many people search for the keyword by going here :

    Seo Book Keyword Suggestion Tool

if there is at least 500 searches a day then that niche or topic is profitable.

Hope this works, been selling clickbank products for years and this technique have proven to be effective and successful everytime!

You Can see your sales by period of 30 days. but having a paycheck for a month? not possible! CB sends you check twice a month for first month then just about every week providing you met threshold.

I am amazed that as I read through this thread, more than half of the answers are just flat wrong or don't bother to address the question. There is no way to find the sales volume unless the vendor will tell you, which is possible, but I bet most will not.

Gravity is a bogus number that Clickbank makes up. It is not good for anything but maybe telling you how many affiliates have sold one in the last 90 days. And even that number doesn't tell you much.

You'd be surprised, Tim. I've asked many vendors and as long as you sound like you know what you're talking about they usually have no problem at least telling you rough figures.

...Now if those figures are always 100% truthful is another story.

      Cheers!

Yes, I would be suspect of the numbers I got. But it is true that most sellers, if they respond, are usually fairly open with you and your questions. They want you to have all the ammo you can to sell better. I have just never had one come out and tell me their sales volume though. Maybe I am asking the wrong questions though.

Yes, I know Alexa. I see it over and over, and the sheep just keep following this false information. When I look for CB products, I follow your lead. I look at gravity under 10 usually but never over 25. That way I know I am not going against massive advertising budgets and better equipped marketers. In fact, I may be the only one that the prospect has seen advertising the product, which is likely not the case with the high gravity products.
