in a normal text document you can press "ctr h" to find and replace text...
is there a way to also do this in wordpress?

example: changing keywords into inline affiliate links.

thanx

Not by default. Your shortcut keys are specific to the browser you are using. In Firefox there is nice plugin (or maybe it is part of the browser) that allows you to type in the search field, and as you type it highlights what it finds on the page that matches your search.

Another option is to install the "Search and Replace" plugin. This essentially searches the database for the items you are searching for. This makes it really easy to change affiliate links. The only downside is you have to know what you are looking for. Install it on a blog and test it out. Don't do it on a production blog though. Test it out with some generic content on a test blog so you can get a feel for how it works.

There are also a few plugins readily available that will allow you to enter a keyword and a url and it will hotlink the two together throughout your site automatically.

EX: You enter the keyword "Travel", the plugin will activate a hotlink anywhere that "Travel" is located on your site and make it clickable to the URL that you enter.

Can't recall the actual name of them at the moment, but they are easily searchable through the plugin search function. (Go Codes may be one of them?)
