Buy a Domain or Submit an Article?

I found a few good keywords in my niche and I was wondering what's a better way to get ranked #1 in Google? For example, if my keyword is "perfect bliss chocolate" and I found a domain that's called perfectblisschocolate.com should i buy that domain and add content and backlinks to it first or should I start with posting a few EZinearticles? Which is a better strategy to get ranked?

Domain and add content your site. Then syndicate your articles to the article directories linking back to your site.

I would get the domain first if available and than worried about the rest.

If you can get the .com domain made of your exact keywords then by all means do it. This is not enough to get good rankings for your keywords but will dramatically improve your results when your number of backlinks starts to grow. Then you should add unique content to your site and create backlinks using social bookmarking sites, social media sites, article directories, blog commenting, forums and so on.

I did find a domain and the main keyword that I want to name the domain after is searched around 20 times a day, other keywords have around a hundred searches.

Buy the domain, create the site, start populating the site with content. Then send articles to relevant directories linking back to your url.

    Rinse, repeat.

I've learned from Alexa Smith that it always better to put your content on your own site first. Drive traffic to your own site. Grab that domain and start building your biz.

Another tip (although some warriors may not agree) is not to link to the exact same article from EZA to the one you have on your site.

Articles drop off and your don't have control of how there ranking. With a website your in control and you can market it or add content as often as you want to get it where it needs to be...simple as that. Buy the domain, add content, then write an article linking back to it.

I definitely agree with Sam. I've written many articles that will good rankings for a while, but then they tend to drop off after a month or so. In my experience the rankings that have lasted have been my domains that I update with new content.
