It's never been easier to be a master marketer than today.

Here's a big tip:

Measure everything and test. No need for talent. No need for creativity. Just trial and error and testing constantly. This will make you a master marketer in the shortest amount of time.

I learned 90% of my Internet Marketing skills from Carbon Copy Pro. Their training is similar to an Internet College course.

As I participate in such forums, I learning marketing. I use the ebooks that are available here and on other sites and put into practice what I learn. Learning something is a process. I am sure that this forum is very rich with information. Joining the War Room has also helped me greatly. To your success! Good luck.

Experience plays a good part of it too, you can learn alot from the experiences you have trying the various aspects of marketing.

Personally I would highly recommend checking out the four hour work week blog. Tim Ferris created several ingenious campaigns both for his company and his book. He highlights them in several webcasts. I would link you to them, but I unfortunately can't post links yet. Good Luck

Here's my top 10 tips on becoming a good marketer:

1. Get really good at getting a lot of targeted prospects to view your offers

2. Get really good at selling them (converting them) from targeted prospects -- into buyers of your stuff.

3. Sell more and more stuff to those prospects and buyers of yours

I must admit I was stumped by internet marketing for a long time.

I have a great product, I put it out and guess what, no one bought it or bit. WHY??? The world is so big an numbers should do justice??? IT'S THE PROCESS!!!!! and there is a right and WRONG way of doing things.

I don't know your level of marketing but I was at a loss my self, and can say now I am almost what I would consider close to an expert, thanks to my peers and my self for paying attention and reading their stuff and applying all of what I know and archiving it.

I was lucky enough to become apart of Mike Filsaimes marketing funnel by fluke of clicking on an ad from another marketer.

I bought the butterfly marketing manuscript and I will tell you what. That is some of the most powerful stuff that will get you understanding marketing over time, especially if you are running a business or have a product you want to release to the world. It won't all click right away.

Now I say overtime, because the learning curve has to be developed, and then the "getting it" part will take place as you read it a few times during your development and release process. Your enthusiasm is a big part as well, because the energy this stuff takes can make a man go insane! It's the result in the end is why I am doing it, not so much the money anymore, its that chain reaction I want to see.

I started to release my site for June 22, 2010, and I thought I should read Butterfly Marketing and listen to the CD's one more time. (I read it while I was in product design and upgrades.) MAN I WAS SO RIGHT!!!!

It all began to click and I realized the biggest mistakes at that point I was making and I since reconstructed the entire launch process. What I did is took the advice forbadem and applied a mind map and process of applying all the info I leaned ad my process along with all my additional ideas. It was the best time I ever taken to reconstruct the launch of my site. This is where all the advice, the work, the "doing and knowing," has actually become UNDERSTANDING! Understanding is the key honestly!

I will tell you one-thing, developing a product or having a product to promote is the main thing you will want to have along with understanding you neche and how to get them to TAKE ACTION! The rest will come when you learn from the experts that have all done it and know.

Now I can say, I completely understand why I was so lost in marketing before and now I get it!!!!! That is the bets part my friend is when it all clicks.

I must say thank you Mike Filsaime and all the marketers that you learned from like Mark Joyner amongst many others that are on your CD package, that product is good. You have a great story and a great product neche I will always promote for online marketing.

I am sure there are many other marketers out there that are very good, I just found my self learning from Mike Filsaime and I feel lucky because of that for the product I started when I was 18, (Now I am 30)

I know I am not allowed to promote anything on this, I don't even know if I can use a forum signature, I have seen it on here, but I may get penalized $500 if I tell you my site so you can see how I am putting Mikes Material to use as I am in a pre-launch mode.

Any ideas or forum moderators that can maybe help here as my site can be a great example of a product release for a newbie who has no connections with JV partners.

The best thing to do is pick a traffic source and do a campaign on it.

Yes you'll struggle, be confused and have questions, but you can come to forums like this and ask questions.

I think you're already a good marketer.

You build authority sites and this gives you profits from Adsense and private ads...

...which means you choose the right keywords and implement the right target traffic generation campaigns...

...and the right keyword research and target traffic generation strategies = you know what a lot of people need which you can profit from (you can select the right niches and subniches for Adsense and private ad profits), what they're talking about (you can bring them from other sites to yours), what they're looking for (you can most likely rank your sites and those with your links high for your target keywords in terms of searches), what they actually need based on what they're searching for and where to place those ads so they can see it right away (this is why they click those ads and why others offer you private ad space rental), where they hang out (you can find them and bring them from other sites to your sites), what stuff they'll most likely share with their friends/colleagues/family (this is why you can generate sources of steady traffic volume), etc.

That's good marketing.

Other marketers and companies buy ad spaces from your business -- this means other marketers and companies aiming to sell more to their target customers go to you because they consider you a big help in their marketing and sales generation campaigns, making you a marketer of other marketers already.

You not only know how consumers think (your niche sites which generate Adsense and private ad profits), but also how marketers think (marketers buy your services).

Now that's good marketing.

Start reading - the more you read and grab knowledge, the more money in your pocket.

Well when I say I agree with some of you and disagree with many of you. For me marketing has always meant to be trial and error, you try something--> success or another way which doesn't work. After all marketing is all about creativity, for that you have to try new things. Hence yes read from the people listed above but don't follow set rules of Marketing Books.

If you really want to read, then read white papers, case studies from websites of good marketing companies and analysts.

first of ll you should use Google and find few good articles and study them with your whole care. I think that you learn easily and can make lot of money from it.It depends upon you that how you utilize it. see white articles of good marketing companies.You should be more energetic and be specific.

There is a huge difference between being what we call an Internet Marketer around here and being a real life marketer. The people involved with legitimate marketing firms generally have bachelors degrees and MBAs.

The advice being given in this thread is geared more towards someone that wants to sell low end marketing services through their forum sig where they claim to be a marketing mastermind. It sounds like you don't want to be that guy. Not that there is anything wrong with that. There are services on all levels.

Contact the university nearest you for admissions information.

That question is just FAR TO MASSIVE to answer on a thread like this. It's going to be like eating an elephant.

Maybe there are more specific goals you have?

1. How do I learn to get traffic to a site?
2. How do I pick a niche to work on?

Those will give you a teeny tiny taste of online marketing...

Reading is great - I do it a lot, but I agree with some of the other comments here that the best way to learn marketing is to do it; and it sound like you have already been doing that. I found I started to suffer from the "information overload" after a while, especially when trying to make money online and that overload was actually paralyzing my efforts - I was so scared I would do something wrong that I didn't do anything at all.

My favorite quote is appropriate here - success is going from failure to failure with enthusiasm (Churchill) so take action and learn as you go.

Just jump in and do it. Whether its right or wrong, the biggest thing is to get started. Someone elses plan might not work for you. So you have to try something and test it and see if it works.

I'm new here and I'm looking to have a membership site developed in the internet marketing / PLR / Rights niche. I do not have ANY technical skills (I cannot FTP and have no site skills) so it would have to be a complete membership site set-up. I am not looking to buy a script...I've tried those and its too hard.
My budget is about $100.
Any suggestions on where I can get this?
