    Hi!

    I suggest hiring a content researcher/writer assistant on a part time, full time or a monthly retainer arrangement.

    You could test interested writers with an IM text chat interview on Skype, Yahoo! Messenger, MSN, etc.

    Pay close attention to the way they write, how they think, their style and reaction time.

    Then, assign an impromptu preassessment test to those who passed the interview.

    Ask them to write a short article about your target keyword. They should write each paragraph, one at a time, in the IM window.

    You can discuss specifics to those who qualify.

    Afterwards, assign a postassessment impromptu test. This will help you determine their learning speed.

    You can lower down costs and get reliable writers with the right hiring processes.

    Samuel - try a few out and see who you like. The cost of an article can be $3-$10+ so not much to get a couple of articles for judgement then repeat the order if they are good.

    Different writers have different strengths - writing for a blog is different to writing for an article directory. And there are different subjects. And maybe you are looking for low-quality high volume for backlinks, or the other way round for credibility.

    It would really depend on what quality you are after. A $4 article will be very different to a $40 article, and there are also rights issues.
