Amazon promotion ideas I could use your opinion

I'm creating review sites to promote Amazon products and need a few ideas.

I got everything down from SEO, Keywords, Choosing products, Back links, Article marketing and stuff like that.

I would like you opinion on is which scenario below would be best for SEO and getting better results.

Scenario 1
One site for each product to get better targeted keywords like right down to the product.

Scenario 2
Create a review site for a category of products like (lawn tools) or even more specific like (weed whackers)

Scenario 3
One huge site for all types of different products. Not really niche friendly as far as keywords go but each blog post for different products would be targeted for keywords.

I would think Scenario 2 would be the best option as far as being more efficient to run but still having decent SEO.

What do you all think? and why?

I would go wither either Scenario 2 or Scenario 3.

Go take a look at cnet.com - its a massive review site will lots of different categories. Its also recognized as an authority site. If you build 20 different sites, your probably never going to have a real authority site.

If you spread yourself too thin, your not going to have time to update all of the sites. I would build 1 site, and post content to it.

The single site approach gets my vote.

Each page of content grows its footprint.

Each inbound link to any page benefits the whole site.

And of course if you use a content management system - even wordpress - maintenance is much easier.

  • I'd always go with Scenario 2, so long as you can find a niche with a lot of potential.

Scenario 3 is good to save money, but anytime you have all your eggs in one basket, you run a big risk of Google delisting.

Scenario 1 used to work well, and if you can get an exact keyword domain it can be very powerful. But, it's hard now to keep domains where there are any trademarks involved.

Thanks. The only problem I see with one big site like cnet is that I will never have enough content or enough people to review that many items to really become an authority site like that. Yes it will give me a bigger footprint but with the second scenario I believe I can come closer to being more authentic. I do plan on using wordpress as my CMS.

@impact-production I have to agree with scenario 1 being a good thing in the past but its really hard to get keywords and domains for 1 item to really be successful.
