Twitter Trouble

I'm FINALLY looking into this whole twitter thing and I am having some trouble with the search function.

When I try to do a search for other twitter users, I receive the following message:

This feature is temporarily disabled.

Thanks for your patience while we work to restore it.


I've been receiving this same message since last friday.

Is anyone else having this same problem?

    I received the same message also but I haven't checked in a while..so I don't think it's something wrong with your system. Twitter is getting real popular, the probably had to upgrade their system.

    Usually when they get a mad spike of traffic (above usual) they'll disable certain services. I think there was a list on Wikipedia of when it's happened in the past and what services were temporarily disabled.

    It's a bit weird - they received like $15 million in funding in May and only God knows how much since then... where did it all go?

    Yeah, just try back another time. That has happened to me a few times too, but later it's working. I think it's like facebook and needs to work out the glitches.

    I had the same trouble at one time and it turned out to be Firefox. I was even unable to "follow." When I logged in with IE, everything worked fine. Just a thought.

    so yeah, twitter still isn't working. I've tried multiple browsers on multiple computers!

    Twitter is up and down all the time. They still haven't solved
    the scaling problem. Shame on them.
