Sometimes when a site is new, Google has not fully interpreted your content and the ads are "off". Once it gets fully indexed and scanned, they start to get a lot better.

It also helps if your title tags, headline tags and description tags are relevant to the content.

If you have a lot of not-so-relevant stuff in the sidebars and surrounding your content, that can throw it off too. You can enter a line of code into your themes coding to tell Google where to focus. (Something like <start content here> - <End content here>) (My memory is slow today, so I can't remember it exactly, so just search for it if you need it).

Also if you have the Google toolbar installed and/or are logged in to your google account while looking at your site, they may also factor in your personal search preferences when displaying ads. (Not 100% sure about this one, but I seem to notice that at times).

When you are adding the code to your blog post, make sure you do it in html view rather than visual view.

I've had this happen as well, and for me it was just temporary - depending on the niche of course (some niches are tougher to match really good ads with) - from my experience, it was just for a few days or so, once I had more content up and google had a chance to figure out the site, then I had no problem getting relevant ads

This looks good but will this work just for adsense withing the content on your page as my adsense is at the top of my wp theme template or wil it change every add within the theme template.

      Thanks

This thread belongs in the correct forum: Adsense / PPC / SEO Discussion Forum

And I'll chime in that this does happen with new sites and even new pages on established sites from time to time. It'll sort itself out in a few days, most likely. Make sure you've really focused tightly on the main theme of the page in your title tag, description meta tag, H1 tag, and throughout your content on the page.
