Best day/time to send (business) newsletter

Hi everyone,

This is the first newsletter I am sending to my subscribers, and I am very nervous. I want to make sure that it reaches their mailbox on the right day and time.

From your experience, which are the best and worst days/times to send newsletters?

Thanks!

    Hi there,

From my experience anytime of day is a good time. Because if you have subscribers on the other side of the world they may get it before work and others will get it after getting home after work. And as for the best days I would have to say thursday through monday.

    Hope this helps.

I would have said Monday through Thursday LOL ...

It depends on your target readership. A lot of my customers are running online businesses fulltime or semi, so they are more likely to read my emails during business hours. I get a lower response on Fridays and Saturdays. Sunday is the worst.

But if you are writing to people who probably have day jobs and will read your emails at home evenings or weekends, then that's when you want to write to them.

If the majority of your readers will be in North America then I'd go for the morning, 10 -12 EST for a business newsletter. 10 am EST catches eastern North America plus most of Europe during business hours, and it's not too long before the West coast starts work.

Tuesdays-Thursdays are the best. Monday's have people deleting email that came in from the weekend, yours could be mixed into it. Fridays has people wrapping up weekly stuff in order for the weekend so they might not have time to read your newsletter (which will now get deleted on Monday). The weekend also has too many distractions. That's why any day Tues-Thurs is good.

There are a lot of variables involved in e-mail marketing. However, it's been my experience, the best time and day to send your newsletter (for the highest open rates) is typically between 2-3 PM EST, on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

I've found that in order to build the relationship with your lead list you need to give consistent value giving communication sort of like a radio show...

what I do is I send a value packed e-mail in the morning and since I use aweber I set it so that aweber will send it between 6 am - 9 am their time for the 1st value packed e-mail...with a call to action in the P.S.

and then in the afternoon around 3:30 or 4 pm I send the 2nd e-mail which is sort of like a short commercial..strong appealing call to action

If you do this every day your lead list will come to like you (providing that you give really good content) and if you do this for awhile they'll get used to it and if you miss a day or two they'll be sure to wonder and maybe even ask you if your alright lol...

try it out if you like and let me know what you think...I'm doing it and so far I've had no complaints..I only recommend this because it works for me
