<ASK> Abnormal visitors.. ANy explanation??

I get a very unusual visitors in one day, while I do not do any kind of promotion at all.
see stats:



as you can see, visitors EXPLODE on June 4th, and it still have some effects on 5th - 11th..
Another strange thing is, after the explosion (June 12th above), appearantly my visits decrease from the normal rate. Probably because SE punish me for this irregular activity??

Seeing more from the analytics stats, it came mostly from one country (where I don't do any activities there whatsoever).

I dont have any referral program, so there's no way this guy is promoting my site.. moreover, the traffic comes from more then one site, which really confusing.

Any possible explanation?

PS: the site is Mini Site Design service. (in my sig), just in case you're wondering.

    Bumping this, because I'd like to know the answer. I'm getting traffic to a site I haven't launched yet and wacko stats for my existing site.

    Up until today I was relying on Awstats, but have now gone to Google analytics - I think that's what the OP is using, so I am interested in knowing a bit more about how it works.
