Suggestion: Standardized grid for WSOs

Almost all WSOs I see, get asked the same questions by prospective customers.

Does it involve article marketing, is there any further $ involved to get it going, is it scalable, does it work in foreign countries, is it all-white-hat, etc. etc.

If there could be some kind of standardized grid with all these typical Q's on it, it would save thread space + scrolling -- and it would allow people to compare apples to apples more easily.

Just a suggestion.

Maybe it could be integrated with WSO Pro.

Cheers.

Why don't you just go through a bunch of WSO's and pick out the most common questions. Then compile that list and sell it to WSO sellers.

TW if you come up with a list of your own that you post at the end of your WSO listing I think you will find many other WSOs doing the same.

And then you will have changed the WSO approach without needing anyone's permission.

Reserve the 2nd post for a FAQ, and better yet - before launching the WSO have it ready for publishing. Saves you a lot of headaches answering pre-sales and customer support emails.

I learned it the bad way...

Reserving the second post in a WSO thread is an excellent idea and I see several sellers doing that now.

However, if you really look at many of the questions asked - they were answered in the original sale text but no one read it.

Before asking a simple question in a WSO, it's good to read the sales copy and the other questions/answers.

I agree with Dave, and I personally make this standard practice for my WSOs.

This *should* be enough to solve the issue, but people will still ask some of the same questions regardless of how many times the same question has already been answered...even in the very previous post. (much less the actual sales copy as Key mentioned)

My advice...Reserve the second post and update with commonly asked questions, plus any new questions people may think of.

      Secondly, keep answering the questions.

Of course, don't let it suck too much of your time, but if you already have the answer typed up it could be a simple matter of "copy and paste".

I say this for two reasons...

First...potentially more sales. You answer their question. They like it. They buy.

Second...potentially more sales. Activity on a WSO thread is, in and of itself, good for business (given of course it's not negative activity such as bad reviews). People leaving positive feedback, others asking questions, you thanking people for leaving feedback, you answering people's questions. Other potential customers see this activity, perceive it to be something popular or valuable, and jump on board.

      Just my two cents,

All of you have good points -- but I think having a standardized GRID would solve a lot of these problems. There would be nothing to scan (or miss) in the body copy. People would know to look at the grid for the answers to the 'standard' list of questions. Like a credit card application/solicitation grid -- APR: XX.XX -- GRACE PERIOD: XX Days [etc.] -- lets you easily compare apples to apples, at a glance.

The grid would be *in addition to* whatever sales copy the seller wants to write.

A "standard grid" used to be required to post WSO's and people complained about it and asked questions even though the grid was clearly displayed.

The grid then was more detailed than the one listed above and you still will see it used in a few WSOs here and there.

        kay

Edit: I think, too, that many of the questions are asked only to be posting. I saw one person last night who posted 4 "questions" in four different WSO's - in less than 10 minutes. Clearly, he was just posting - not reading the sales pages.

I think WSO sellers accept the necessity for answering questions and the willingness to answer tells something about the seller.

Actually, I WANT people to ask as many questions as possible in my WSOs. Even if the questions are already answered in the offer. It keeps the sales thread lively an continues to attract new buyers.

It's an interesting idea. If the sales letter is clear enough, this shouldn't be nessasary though.

Do people also email normal sales pages away from the forum, with all kinds of questions like that? I think it is unique to the forum.

Frankly, I think it could be beneficial and save time, but these fears and questions should be addressed on the sales page anyway.
