Translating my product

Hi all,
I have my own product ready to ship, all written in English (why English? long story, not relevant).
I want to translate the ebook to MY language (Hebrew, for this matter), but I'm afraid that if I give it to some human translator on elance.com or somewhere else on the web, he might take the ebook and use it or himself.

Do you know any GOOD (!!!) machine-translator site, that can make reasonable translations from English to Hebrew (Google doesnt do it right...)?

Thanks in advance,
Ari

If you don't speak Hebrew you should be checking at this page:
odesk.com and post a job there. I'm sure after a day of posting there will be around tens of people looking forward to it. If you scare of losing your eBook, you could divided your eBook into different articles to different people to translate for you. So nobody will know what your eBook is about.

If you do speak Hebrew you should be looking at these page below:
translate.google.com is a free program which you can use to translate your article, it is very useful. But, google translator is still not the most perfect program.

babylon.com is also a good program for you to translate your eBook. I recommend this more than Google Translator because it have less mistake in translating your eBook.

      Take Care,
      Arimont

Hope This Work Best For You ...
      Thanks for the response.
I don't understand why my Hebrew knowledge is relevant (and yes, I speak Hebrew).
Both Babylon and Google translate English into Hebrew in a VERY bad way...
I guess Hebrew (and the rest of non-anglo/latin deriving languages) are too different to machine-translate...

I'm asking if anyone knows another tool, besides Google and Babylon, that is proved to translate into Hebrew.

Your assumptions are absolutely wrong... sorry.

The bad maschine translation is NOT specific to your language. Machine translations are bad in any language. Period.

No, you will NOT find any decent machine translations site/tool.

Take this from a linguist with a degree in translation theory and applied lingistics

          I stand corrected.
Never the less, When I had to translate something to Italian (another language I speak) It wasn't perfect (to say the least) but it was something that required only some small adjustments.
Machine translations into Hebrew are just....well...totally useless.
Anyway, I stand corrected, as I said. Thanks.

  • If you're worried about people stealing your content, you'll never be able to outsource anything.

The best thing to do is to look at the reviews of prospective people you might hire to do a job. If they're unreliable, then someone will have flagged that. Plus, there's a big difference in mindset between a marketer and an outsource worker. Most outsource workers are looking for the guaranteed income from the job and have no thought of becoming an entrepeneur.

The other option is to use Google Translate, then pay someone to proof read and improve the translation. You'll never get an accurate translation that you can sell from the free machine translation software alone.

Do you mean that a hired translator might NOT see or take the opportunity that I put in his hand by giving him my product?

Yes, translators who were in the habit of stealing products wouldn't be working in that business for any length of time. They'd be exposed as thieves.

So, if you look for people with a long standing record of good feedback, you should be safe.

Yes, if you think along those lines you won't be able to give any of your content, articles, ebooks, notes to any outsourcer, if you feel they might use it for them selves.

My tip: Don't reveal to the outsourcer that you plan to make tonnes of money after they convert this file into a different language, and that you own the full rights to the converted product.
