Why 98% Fail To Make A Dime!

So, why is it that 98% of so called internet marketers fail to make a single dime online? It's simple really. They don't take ACTION!

Everything we teach is simple, yet so few become successful. We teach what we've done to become successful, yet 98% still fail. It's the simple fact that most people don't take action on what they learn.

It's not the products. The average person will buy an IM product and then say to themselves that it will never work. Then they move on to the next best thing. Or the next big product launch. How do you think you could make it with that kind of mindset?

Next time you buy a product, learn from it and then put what you learn into action! If you do, you'll already be doing more then 98%!

    Nice post...

Not sure I am in the top two percent, I know I am not part of the 98%, I guess I will have to settle for somewhere in between maybe 3%....a lot of hard work but it can be done

IT IS ALL IN THE ACTION.

    Sometimes it IS the products!

But I agree that most of the time it's the doingness that
    is missing.

If we could just make money sitting in front of the TV we would
    be golden~lol

Hey Nick, I think this would apply to pretty much anything in life. Think of dieting, nutrition & fitness, attracting the opposite sex, running a successful small business, becoming popular in the entertainment field, sport and so on.

Exaclty many people give up before they start.

No way to make money with this thinking.

Focus what you want to do and do it.

You are 100% right, many buyers just read it and then never apply it into action.

I guess it takes time for everyone to actually realize that hey have to take action ..as it did for me. I don't mind admitting it and know it sounds stupid but honestly ..I was scared of the simplicity then and constantly kept 'doubting' it than 'doing' the damn thing.

The simplicity is the hardest part to overcome.
It is easy to get sucked into the next product.
You simply need to work the fist one...and network your way into the following one.

Yep, that's very true. You know that's the thing. People buy a product and it all seems so easy so they pass it up without even giving it a try. With posts like this, we can try to change that mindset.

        Agreed

And when I did start working and make things happen, though I dont claim to make a million dollars monthly ..the 'change' I experienced is something else.

This is the typical argument, but based on my experience in working with tons of folks I don't agree that it comes down to taking action. In my opinion it comes down to this:

Taking the most effective, results-driven action. Taking the "right" action if you will.

Hear me out on this now because it's important.

Making serious money in IM is not easy but it sure is fundamentally simple: sell what people want.

That's it. That's all you have to do to make millions: sell what people want. When I finally allowed this to sink into my thick skull my income tripled in a matter of weeks and I'm not kidding.

The actions one must take to "sell what people want" are simple:

    1) Figure out who already buys stuff (market/niche identification)
    2) Create or find a product/service they want (niche research)
    3) Get in front of that audience (traffic generation)
    4) Sell them the product they want (offer creation, sequence & conversion)

That's it. You can complicate things all you want but those are the four main categories.

The question raised in the OP is why do 98% of people still fail? Simple:

They put 98% of their energy into everything BUT the above list. If they focused even 50% of their energy on the above list they could achieve a five-figure income in a few months flat.

This ain't rocket science folks. And the best part is in just about any niche you can think of there are models of success RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU to duplicate. You can literally see what people are buying and how it's being sold to them.

So make no mistake. People don't fail because they don't take action - heck, people who don't take action aren't even playing the game.

No sir, people fail because they aren't focusing on the simple fundamental things that represent a straight line between where they are and where they want to be.

      Ken...Great talking points!

I think that, perhaps the bigger problem, is being able to Take the Right actions necessary to incorporate everything you said.

One of the hardest parts for me was....just putting it all together...getting it all to click.

My deal was that I was putting forth action every day...complicating it as I went. I was also trying to do too much, too fast. At the end of the day I made the process so complicated that I got burned out, frustrated and wanted to quit.

Such is life though. Everything takes commitment, practice and patients. You must crawl before you can walk.

This. my friend ..is the 'fact'.

All one has to do to make it online is to 'do one thing at a time' in a planned strategy.

this is a great post. I hope all the newbies and the failing markets see this one and get the wake up call that they are in desperate need of.

marketing online is not a hobby. yet so many people treat as one. they think read something, buy a product hoping to have discovered the "magic button" to making money online, and then they don't do anything with it.

then they say "this product sucks ass. gimme my money back" and then they wait for the next big thing and do the same thing over again.

another trend i see is that people say that you have to be some type of genius to make a living online. they think that only the super smart people can make money online because they are some type of technical nerd.

not true. it couldn't be farther from the truth. and this post proves it.

it's not a complicated thing to make money online. you just need to do your research and then apply yourself. if you stick to a battle plane and follow the wealth of already proven methods out there, you'll make money.

        it's that simple.

thanks guys for a great post.

    Great post, Ken.

I also had a similar realization a little over a year ago.

People are conditioned into thinking that things have to be complicated when the results are above-average, and I was guilty of the same.

This is why people gravitate to writing articles, etc.

Because it's predictable and they're not expecting above-average results, so there's less chance for disappointment.

When in reality, it's the affiliates who slave away while the merchants build huge client lists (and income).

    And that's just one example.

I get emails all the time from people who want to make money, but don't want a website.

    It's absurd.

Doing all this social marketing/article stuff isn't nearly as effective or reliable as having your OWN assets. Like a site with consistent organic traffic.

    Or building a mailing list.

No, instead they want to discover "secrets" to making $200 a month by writing 5 articles a day and submitting them to sites they don't control or own.

    It's insanity.

I think successful entrepreneurs are less conditioned by society.

We are all supposed to be conditioned to become employees, working for others. It's the few that break away from this mindset, with that 'go get em' attitude, that succeed.

Spend less time thinking, arguing and contemplating; spend more time doing.

There are actually more to this Internet thing - why many 95% actually will not make it online. See I wrote this as an article a few days ago. I think this will make a great reading to all here: I titled it "How to Fail Woefully in Affiliate Or Internet Marketing" Happy reading.
