Its not a good news to hear that you are unsatisfied with you 9 to 5 job. But it usually happens with many of us. As you have clearly mentioned that you don't know anything about IM so it would be better for you to start doing forum posting jobs as there you'll get some information about ways of internet marketing and also you can earn money by posting in forums.

  • how do i go about that?

I suggest you research in the making money online forum at the bottom of this site. theres tons of Ebooks that are free with good info.

      Starting out, here's basically IM:

      Create/promote an affiliate product
Drive traffic to that product so you get commissions

Your products are in niches. A niche is an area: health, investing, pets, home owners. Then there are micro niches; health: acne, weight gain, weight loss, diabetic diets, and so on

You dont need websites. A lot of people do this with article marketing AND (use both) blogging. Squidoo and blogger are both free and act like a website. you get your own .com.

Go google bum marketing. Its free from a guy named travis. 3 pages on article marketing. Basically you write an article about lets say weight loss. at the end you have a link to your blog. In your blog you have a link to a click bank product, if they buy you get money. Click bank hosts many affiliate products. You pick one to promote, get people to your site, and have a good post making them want to buy.,

      Hope this helps,
      Brian

Learn about being a broker/middleman and arbitrage. Find services to market, sub contract/outsource the work out, or, sell the contract to someone else.

I am trying to do that myself if I can. If not, I will just do the work myself.

The first thing to determine is what your goals are, what you're good at, what feels doable to you, and what you like to do. Then find a path that will allow you to use your best assets and have fun doing it. A lot of the stuff out there works but that doesn't mean it's right for you. Affiliate marketing is great getting started because you don't have to create a product or build a website, but it works a lot better if you've done your due diligence above so you pick products that will allow you to start building from. If you're all over the map you'll never build a brand or a niche and you make a lot more money when you do that and build a real business for most people.

There is no magic button that can just be pushed for instant success. Instead of putting in 40 hours a week at your 9-5, apply that to IM and then and only then will you see results. No one is an instant success. If you want to get some less complicated results, I recommend joining a CPA company. They pay decent and the leads are much much easier to get. Of course, just like anything else in life, it takes time. Even if you know nothing whatsoever about computers, you can still make money. I have a Walmart gift card offer that pays $1.50 for every person that submits their email on the offer. Print out some fliers, go to your local Walmart, and place them on cars. Even if you get only 10 sign ups for the less than hour it took, you are already banking more than minimum wage for an hour of work. Find a way to upscale it and it will be gold and never get saturated.

This sounds like a good idea, but, I wonder how Walmart feels about you placing flyers in their parking lot.

        Hey IJustWannaBeSuccessful,

Look before you leap. Did hyperbole bring you here?

It's not so easy and there is so much to learn.

You can hang out in forums like this and get all kinds of advice and offers. And you can learn a lot here too.

My best advice is to find someone who you trust, someone who has real knowledge, someone who will show you what you need to learn and just how to do it.

I'm sure it isn't the most ethical idea, but hey it works. I don't put any reference to walmart at all really, I don't want any copyright problems. The worst that could happen is to take them all down, but never happened. I just put on there: "Enjoy Your Shopping Experience? Want to get more for less? We have a $500 gift card for the location you just shopped at! Go to *yoursite* to claim!

Very easy money, but totally needed to upscale. Try this at a mall on a weekend = $$$$$$$$

One thing you need to think about is that most shopping centers and malls do not allow fliers to be put on car windshields. The worst that could actually happen is you could be given a ticket for trespassing, and told you can't come back-ever. It's not a good idea, not to mention most people don't like other people touching, let alone placing what they would think is litter on their vehicles.

You will not be able to make enough money to live off of without working a lot. Also, it will take time. Don't expect to earn much, let alone support yourself for at least a few months.

There are many money making opportunities you can find online, like article writing, web designing, banner designing, cpa marketing, cps marketing, etc. You can either do little of everything(which i do) or expertise in any one field and you can make decent $$.

You need a good plan. There are a lot of good free reports out there. I would start with affiliate marketing, since it is the easiest to get started.

    PLAN:

    1. Build a website or learn a skill.
    2. Drive traffic to the website or advertise your skill.
    3. Get traffic or work.
    4. Collect money.

Very easy plan but lots of detail to learn.

get free advice on here. Spend no money getting that advice. When you make a little money, then pay for the BEST WSO on here - check feedback from buyers and also don't be afraid to ask questions.

    Best of Luck

I don't usually offer this kind of advice, but since you know nothing, and I have pointed to people to this solution before, go here and check out the "Insider Secrets to Marketing your Business On the Internet". (Mods: I am not an affiliate of this! Just want to help someone that has no idea! )

This is probably the best course for someone who has no idea at all what to do or where to start. If you don't want to spend any money on learning at first, then just hang out here and read everything you can get your eyeballs on. Ask questions, and then try out what was suggested.

This forum is the best place to learn! Also, join the War Room. That will help you out a lot. Hope all of this helps!

    Hi
A year ago I didn't know my matrix from my google analytics until I found Ed Dale's Challenge program (actually, last year it was called The Thirty Day Challenge but is now just called 'The Challenge'). His course is totally FREE and it would be just perfect for you. It takes you by the hand and leads you through the hazy maze of internet marketing. Their objective is to show you how to make your first dollar online. I'm now up to $15 (okay, so I'm not rolling in it YET).

Good luck in dumping your 9-5

    Hey IJustWannaBeSuccessful,

May sound like a cliche, but to be able to quit your job you first need to know how to make a single dollar online. (...It's the most wonderful feeling when you figure it out...)

You admit that you're a completely "fresh pair of eyes" and that's brilliant.

If I were you, just starting out. Don't buy any information products just yet. (...I'm about to save you thousands of dollars buying things that you're not ready for...)

Go to thirtydaychallenge.com and go through that. It's free and teaches you a hell of a lot about one model of internet marketing and in a very thorough way.

But I will say something though for later on.

On your journey you're going to come across a lot of products and they will promise to teach you the latest and greatest ways of making money online.

But my advice to you is, don't look at what people are telling you to do, but have a look at what they are ACTUALLY DOING.

In most cases, tou're going to hear about this stuff through YOUR EMAIL INBOX.

The latest guru will be telling you how to make a killing with twitter, but they're making their real money, CREATING INFORMATION PRODUCTS telling you how to make a killing with twitter, and then BUILDING A MAILING LIST promoting their future products and other products to you.

The holy grail (...only in my lowly opinion...) of making money online is...

    1. CREATING INFORMATION PRODUCTS
    2. BUILDING AND NUTURING A RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR EMAIL LIST.

Just keep those two things in mind for later on in your quest.

I went straight to building a mailing list when I first started and that's how I made my first dollars online.

But I did have a look at thirtydaychallenge.com.. It's not a model that I wanted to follow but I learned a HELL of a lot about the fundamentals of internet marketing from it.

It's FREE and you can't go wrong.

    Hope this helps.

    Reach new heights,

    Nathan

p.s. Always remember that you're building a business and not creating another job for yourself (...reccommended book "The E Myth" by Michael Gerber...)

You do sound very motivated and that is good! A crappy job can be a good motivational factor to get you where you want to go.

I agree that affiliate marketing is probably going to be the simplest to get up to speed with. Simple but not necessarily easy. There is a lot of work involved and you should expect to spend a good portion of your nights and weekends working on your business if you want to see results.

The War Room is also a very good resource. It is a paid portion of this forum...one time payment and you're set for life and everything in there is free and it's good stuff. Pretty much turnkey plans that are proven...step by step.

If you don't want to pony up for the War Room you can always buy a WSO or two. Don't be bashful and ask questions if you don't understand. Most people here are pretty cool but don't get upset if someone just says "read the posts"...be determined and you will be successful. The amount of success you find is pretty much directly related to how much work you do.

There can be a learning curve and this stuff can be tedious at times and monotonous at other times but the excitement of making your first sale, or having your first $100 day or $200 day is a wicked high!
