How consumers are spending online
A piece of advice that I see get repeated on here is "go where people are spending" So I'm doing a little research, I found the two links below very helpful. Hope you can use them.

Video games, consoles and accessories are the biggest areas of spending. Other categories that saw growth (ok so the article is two years old) are Furniture, Appliances & Equipment, Sport & Fitness, Event Tickets, Flowers, Greetings & Misc. Gifts, Home & Garden.
Another good source to research consumer spending trends online is @ IT Facts ; 115 billion spent on online travel last year, web to tv streaming services to generate 2.9 billion by 2013.
