The Circle

Without naming names, most of you're aware of the product that got launched and promoted by every marketer and their dog this week.

I have nothing against the guru behind this product, he is a great marketer and I learned from him a lot.

But, getting 40 emails within 2 hours warning me that it's closing tonight is just crazy.

I don't know about you, but I felt like being in the center of a circle of marketers with a single goal, getting the damn 2000 bucks out of my pocket!

Maybe it's a great strategy to cooperate with this big number of jv partners and affiliates, but when you're dealing with IM, and with the fact that most of your prospects are subscribers to the mailing lists of nearly all of your jv partners, you need to do it smarter...

Just my opinion, maybe right, maybe wrong, I never thought about buying this product, but I believe that all these emails wouldn't help me to make a better decision if I was thinking about purchasing it...

I've unsubbed from almost every single "guru" list I've been on. I certainly don't miss this sort of thing.

    • Unsubscribing from the list is always an option, however, I consider it as my last shoot, gurus emails is a great source for learning and "swiping" great marketing pieces.

  • Thanks I am also sick of being hit 20 times a day with a great deal
  • I can't knock what they're doing because I'd like to be the marketer who all those other marketers are promoting for.

How can he do it better than having the entire industry made aware of his limited time offer?

Do you suggest that he get less people to mail for him? Or should his JV partners not promote things that other top marketers are promoting?

At the end of the day, it's a game of networking, reciprocation, and creating urgency to motivate fast money. As long as the product is worth promoting, what can you really say.

    I say good for them.
  • Closing tonight?? oh nooooo

    • I know what you mean, many emails from the gurus who are promoting the same product in that launch, can be a bit too much.

But you know why they do it? because it works!

Popups are annoying too, but they do work.
