Without naming names, most of you're aware of the product that got launched and promoted by every marketer and their dog this week.

I have nothing against the guru behind this product, he is a great marketer and I learned from him a lot.

But, getting 40 emails within 2 hours warning me that it's closing tonight is just crazy.

I don't know about you, but I felt like being in the center of a circle of marketers with a single goal, getting the damn 2000 bucks out of my pocket!

Maybe it's a great strategy to cooperate with this big number of jv partners and affiliates, but when you're dealing with IM, and with the fact that most of your prospects are subscribers to the mailing lists of nearly all of your jv partners, you need to do it smarter...

Just my opinion, maybe right, maybe wrong, I never thought about buying this product, but I believe that all these emails wouldn't help me to make a better decision if I was thinking about purchasing it...

I've unsubbed from almost every single "guru" list I've been on. I certainly don't miss this sort of thing.

Unsubscribing from the list is always an option, however, I consider it as my last shoot, gurus emails is a great source for learning and "swiping" great marketing pieces.

I would have agreed with that years ago. Today? Meh.

what if......... you had a product..... and you got 40 people with big responsive lists........... to email their lists.......... promoting.......... your product?

It will forever be facinating to me how Internet *Marketers* complain and moan about being *Marketed* to.

"How dare they try and sell the snot out of me? Who do they think they are... salespeople? I swear, I'm unsubscribing from all their lists, ignoring them for the rest of my life, and from here on out... I'm going to.... well... going to... I'm going to write articles!"

I can certainly understand how you "feel". Many people "felt" the same way you do. But, what many "found" was that if they switch thier mindset from being a "buyer" and more of a "seller"... then they dont get as upset with *sales* attempts on them.

It's like saying... "I got this Business Opportunity Magazine, and I took all the addresses in that magazine and I mailed off for all the free kits. Now, I get all these direct mail pieces in the mail now. I"m flooded with them. How dare they?"

Or... like walking onto a car lot and saying..."stop trying to sell me a damn car! What's wrong with you people?"

Or... it's like signing up on LOTS of Internet Marketer's lists... and then saying, "Why do they keep emailing me and trying to sell me stuff??"

Again, I can understand how it feels... but, I think a nice shift in thinking could be a "breakthrough" for you all who see it the "other way". Again, again, again, I understand, but it's still facinating. To each his own. Everyone's entitled to their opinions. May the force be with you. Cheers. Aloha.

I can't knock what they're doing because I'd like to be the marketer who all those other marketers are promoting for.

How can he do it better than having the entire industry made aware of his limited time offer?

Do you suggest that he get less people to mail for him? Or should his JV partners not promote things that other top marketers are promoting?

At the end of the day, it's a game of networking, reciprocation, and creating urgency to motivate fast money. As long as the product is worth promoting, what can you really say.

    I say good for them.

I am not judged by the number of times I fail, but by the number of times I succeed. And the number of times I succeed Is in direct proportion to the number of times I can fail and keep trying.
