No you don't need a domain for amazon product you can promote directly your affiliate link....

If you use Wordpress.com or Blogger then you won't have to pay for a domain name yourself. If you want to promote your product through a website that's the best way to do it. No need to purchase a domain so there is no expense.

Going for a domain just means that you are owning a private web service & it provides help in your own promotion & for no one else.

If going for WordPress & Blogger seems to be good for you, then definitely you can opt for them but own domain pays a worth, you can generate good revenue by selling, adsense, affiliate marketing etc.

Try to have a own service which can be hired from a cheap web service provider.

I guess I'll never understand this mentality. You could become a freakin' millionaire doing this but you won't spend $10 on a domain? Okay, whatever, good luck to you.

A domain name gives you a ton of flexibility. You can set up any pre-sell page you want, install tracker. A .info cost you around $1 from Godaddy...so get one. Make sense?

Wordpress (.com) and Blogger.com do not tend to favour commercially based (non personal) projects, and may pull your site. Also, they'll always be owned by someone else - never you.

If you have your own domain and your own website (or self hosted WordPress) and domain, then you control everything. And, as suggested above if you're not prepared to spend $10 for a domain, then I'd choose another venture if I were you. $10 is the bare minimum of the cost of success in this business.

Thanks for asking the question, Slickback. I've been wondering about the same issue. Good to hear form other members as to the pros and cons of domain name versus a free blogspot.

If you have a domain you inspire more credibility and it's more flexible for you.
A domain is more good viewed instead of subdomains.
