Although it is very dependent on your niche and probably cannot be used as a blanket rule. I have gotten great results from doing the following:

In the company I do IM work for, the owner is very attractive, so I use her image in my craigslist ads advertising our products. A strong headline to get people to click the ad with some innuendo inside the content of the ad and we get some amazing results. Sex sells. Of course it helps that our target buyers are male. over 50% of the clicks coming into our site is from her picture.

As with most ventures, I often revert to one of my basic principles of life. I Do what I want, and I would expect you will do the same. This being said, the "best" is also subjective and has implied "feelings" which are quite individually selected. So if you do not "like" a specific protocol of actions, you will be less likely to do it, yet in the same breath, if you do not like to do what works you may be doomed. One must learn to "like" the actions required so you will want do what is required to make any good method work "best" for you.
I will "breakdown" some of the "best" methods, which work well for myself, many Warriors, and personal friends involved with the "Internet Marketing" side of E-business.

When you have the desire, or "Want to",work your "best" at applying the "Ways", then here are some things that have worked "best" for different people. Some work quickly (even instantly), and others may take more time.

1) List sharing or JV promotions>> Many individual internet marketers have promoted products, have "give away" pages, or other "list building" activities. The consumer may have a interest or even passion for the topic, and want more products, they may want your product. Partners can promote your product in regular "subscription" e-mail's they sent to their list. Give the partner a commission on each item and they will be motivated to promote your product. find partners to promote different products to different lists.

2) Videos>>> Easy for some to make. Not so fun for others. If people start "sharing" with their personal network they can go viral and flood your site with traffic. Videos can be just as easy to post as written content, promoting Video products? this may be your "best" way.


3) Detailed and diverse content>> Articles, blogs, content pages and the like can be indexed by search engines quickly, when posted on the many diverse content sites(as many bots like new contents). One who has writing ability may quickly take to this process, and others may outsource writing or look to productivity tools such as article modifiers, or "search and replace" option in many word processing tools *keyword synonym replacement; an SEO Technique*).

Utilizing analytic tools from sources, analyzing and researching keyword search numbers(see google) to determine quality "word niche" components to include in content development can quickly get pages, articles, blogs, (even listings), top search engine rankings.

4) Social Networking sites>> Many people have many friends. If you enjoy building your persona (aka profile), this may be fun easy and something you already do. A few interesting posts with a site page with "more details" or an call to action, can cause an instant flood of traffic

5) Traditional Ads>> Off line ads can be as productive, profitable, and affordable as online. Some research is necessary to get the best bang for you buck, Rembember the audience you are promoting to. (don't advertise for dress shoes in a boat magazine) Be just as careful with your analysis of cost and returns as you are (or will be) with PPC.

6) List building >> As promotions go viral, partners provide back-linking (and other promotions), E-book or "script linking" traffic can provide one the opportunity to get floods of traffic from return visitors. With offers, items, or information people will be ready and waiting for your e-mail updating your "list" with your most relevant information, directing traffic at will just by sending a message to your subscription members.

7) Auction or "craigslist"Network posting>> Sites such as feE-Bay can provide a platform to launch some types of products, I do not recommend this for digital products, as some of this type of network prohibits digital or affiliate products. Some people I know do have success because It is just like any other method, if it works well for you, and you can do the required tasks well, then well it just might be "best" for you.

8) Integrated approach>>One way may not be the best for you, it may be best to use more than one approach at the same time. Post to networks and social networks, some of your articles, which you have a video about.

Any way which works for you will be your "best" method. If you are great on video, that may work best for you. If you are good at research and analysis, SEO may be your "best" way. If you have good writing skills Articles and content development may serve you best.

I have been hearing a bit about this site.

This site provide PPV. So can I ask what niche suitable with this method?

I don’t give a damn about how advanced a traffic technique sounds if it doesn’t comply with this set of rules:

1. Puts your message in front of a large group of targeted prospects whiling to take financial action.
2. You get a positive ROI (return on investment) or at least break even on the front end. (You’ll make more money on the backend).
3. You can outtake the competition (no point headbutting against a wall).

Get these rules right or go find yourself another job. Traffic is easy, period. If you haven’t succeed yet it’s because you’ve been using a traffic scheme that does not comply with these three rules or you haven’t been persistent enough. If you are hoping to get a traffic technique right on your first trial, you have been living in wonderland. Even with the best mentors, failure is the only way to succeed.

Enough said, let’s get into some Ideas you can work with.

Be a lazy A-hole. Piggyback on somebody else’s traffic:

• Find a popular YouTube video related to your business and contact the owner. Tell him you are interested in placing a link to your site in the description and pay him 50 bucks per month. Hell, buy his/her account if you can. Look for videos with at least 30k views per month or something like that.
  
• Ad swaps, Twitter swaps… If there’s the “swap” word on it, do it. Period. You’ll basically exchange resources. Person A sends his/her list to person’s B landing page, and person’s B sends his/hers list to person’s A landing page.
  
• Piggyback on SE (search engines) traffic. What, you didn’t thought about it that way? That’s what you do with SEO and PPC… You’re piggybacking on traffic that already exists. When you try to magically create your own traffic, that’s when you screw things up. I won’t explain to you how to do SEO or PPC here. Use the search option. It will give you more information than you can handle. Just make sure you target buying keywords and that you set a small daily budget (PPC), so tragedies won’t happen. And please do not use paid methods unless you have a clue of what to do.
  
• Do keyword research on Google and find high traffic keywords. If you can piggyback on that traffic (SEO), do it. If you can’t, don’t sweat it. Make a list of the websites listed in top 10 and contact them. Tell them you want to be a guest writer for free and all they have to do is let you put a link in the articles. Be realistic. If they say no, spam the hell out in the comments (I’m kidding, DON’T DO IT!). Make useful, related comments. Blogs and forums are the best target for this method.
  
• Hell, what are you doing here? The Warrior Forum is a high traffic forum. Make a free WSO or a useful post and link back to your site.
  
• Rent somebody’s list and send people useful but incomplete information with a link back to your site.
  
• Be a mind terrorist and piggyback on human psychology. Do something useful, controversial, funny and viral and let people drive you the traffic by word of mouth. Just make sure you place your material in high traffic sites so people can get access to it.
  
• Go to alexa.com and look at the top 100 sites on the web. Brainstorm ideas on how you can piggyback on their traffic. See if they have any advertising programs available or if you can borrow their traffic for free.

Grab this concept of piggybacking and come up with your own Ideas. It’s simple. If a web page, search query, etc, is receiving a good quantity of targeted traffic, weather through search engines or word of mouth, brain storm some ideas on how you can piggyback on that traffic - ”How can I put my link on that page?”. Just make sure you don’t spam or go against any TOS.

Remember, the secret to get traffic is to know where it already is and then marketeting to it!

Conclusion: The best way to get a flood of traffic to your website is to take action! Comparing different traffic techniques is pointless. Period.

PS: There are a whole lot more traffic techniques such as PPV, banner advertising, article marketing, etc. This post was just a small introduction.
